They won champs with s1mon's issues, man if they managed to "fix" them and didn't have to babysit (their words) him. It sucks that we missed out on their peak

We didn't miss out on their peak, their peak was when they lifted the trophy. We just missed out on the dynasty that could have been.

EDG in their peak form in other metas gets beaten by at least 1-2 teams. EDG in 2023 would get picked apart, even with everyone at their peak, by EG, FNC, LOUD, PRX, and maybe a couple other teams
even in 2022, OPTIC, FPX, LOUD, and champs DRX would beat them
maybe in 2021 they have a chance but i still see prime gambit coming out on top

BLG look like the best they’ve ever been, but EDG has a week to prepare for that match + they always own BLG. I’d give it 55/45 in favor of EDG

I think the team and management approached the issue badly. I compare simon to patitek a lot because they’re both incredible supports and they both play selflessly. On TLs side it seems like it’s not a problem that pati gets lower frags as he’s even said he would prefer to support the team than focus on kills. Edg seemed like they were dissatisfied with Simon despite winning a whole tournament and it just doesn’t make sense. I think they shot themselves in the foot by giving him extremely high expectations then being disappointed when he couldn’t reach them
