KRU is 5-1 on regular season, and 4th place on Kickoff out of 12. That doesnt make them fodder, that makes them contenders

having a singular region for one whole country, whilst most nations and cultures in asia have no way to get a team in vct makes no sense (and that's before considering the kind of country china is).

Africa literally doesn't have the infrastructure to handle a large scale esport scene like Valorant and even less so the potential to nurture future talents due to the lack of wealth and technology. Computers are expensive and I doubt the average teen in Libya or Algeria is grinding for a future in Valorant.
- But that's the thing, they kind of can't. Running any international initiative in China requires a unique approach due to how the laws work over there, and considering the massive companies willing to invest and support the esport scene, it is only reasonable to consider creating an individual scene for China. With the addition of a large and talented talent pool and a gigantic population with lots of access to esports and technology, China completely merits its own region. They are large enough to compete with themselves.

last year (continuing into this year) a quarter of teams competing in intercontinental events was guaranteed to be chinese, they are by far the most represented nation (second most represented in playoffs, if i'm not mistaken). i don't fw that, because their representation is artificial, they compete against no one else, i'm not talking about money, idc about that and will never understand people that value it, i want to see different cultures compete against each other, regardless of quality, and when a quarter of the teams are from china that goal hasn't been reached, sadly.

I understand your greviances and I too would like to see a more diverse roster of nations represented on the international stage but that's hard to balance. We might even see 4 KR teams at champs this year.

And I agree with you, but (talking about #49 too) it's hard to have fair representation when some regions can't produce viable teams (Africa atm) and other regions are too big (and complicated) to integrate into other regions (China into APAC).

we do have a Middle East and North Africa region, tho it's only t2 and turkey's not in it because it's not in the middle east nor north africa
in order to get a north african (rest of africa has no pathway to vct) team into a masters or champs they'd have to:
-get into the mena vcl (currently has 0 african teams, they're all from the middle east)
-qualify for the mena playoffs
-finish in the top 2 there
-(if they lose gf) win the ascension playins
-win ascension
-qualify for said international
a chinese team would have to:
-qualify for said international
