How do you improve your english speaking ability in your environtment ?

My speaking is very awfull, i easily forget simple words translation when i speak and i dont know why. I know exactly the word i forget when i dont speak but my mind kinda goes blank when i speak or try conversation even though im not the nervous type person, i hate it bcs it kinda makes me looks dumb af LOL 🙈

I dont think im bad at english bcs recently i take TOEFL ITP test (which doesnt include convo/speaking) and got 570 score. Thats kinda enough score for me bcs i dont need to be expert at english, just wanted to be fluent at speaking and not stuttering.

Do you guys have answer to this issue, pls let me know. I watch some video interview around the world and most of south american and west european speak good amount of english or at least theyre not stuttering when they speak

start talking to yourself randomly then. no matter the topic, just start speaking on it and try to use good vocabulary in it, over time your english will improve massively. i personally did this method myself. currently im learning an another language too, when i hear some random sentences in my day to day life i try to translate it into the new language and this method is working so far.

The easiest way is reading books simple novels or stories that you like reading but they shouldn't be hard at first like should be written in basic English.
Then with time you can pick up more refined writings to read. Up until 11th year of my life I could only read English nd not speak a word of it due to the places I grew up in. When I finally came to a big city and a school where speaking in English was compulsory I spoke it all the time in broken way but I did plus as I said I kept reading novels nd grammatical books to find the right structure.
Vocabulary doesn't grow in a single day it took me 3 months with a poor accent to start speaking nd almost a year to build good enough vocabulary to speak flawlessly without worrying about translation of words.
The best way to solve you going blank is you need to start forming your thoughts in English instead of local language I did that for just 2 years nd I started speaking English better than anyone in my school. Obviously even to this date there are words I completed pronounce wrong bcz I never learnt them from base but they are very far nd few in between.
Good luck with the journey it will be rewarding

Just start watching all your videos and movies in English. Being around people who speak good english also helps a lot

What I did was to talk to myself in english as if you’re talking to someone or think when I’m around people, create imaginary convos. Also find a person to game with, they won’t judge your english and it’s a good practice. That’s what I did when I was learning. Helped a lot.

Self-induced schizophrenia is actually a really good way to improve languages. I do this with French, Japanese, etc and it helps a lot.

I tried this with German but it doesn't work cuz there's too much grammatical stuff

discord (best option and yap yap yap there a discord for just about every fandom ever) and play with people who the only common language u have with em is english try playing on servers far enough where ur ping isnt dog but u are fair enough away where no one in there right mind who speaks the same language as u forces to speak english etc etc

i am fluent speaker and a terrible typer so we have the oppsite problem and i can say with full confidence that with eng being ur 2nd language u will always struggle to remember words u will always forget how to say "literally" and other simple words for no reason

TLDR
have a groups of friends that speak english and yap with them or play your favorite games with them and u will be good similar interests help but u will eventually stop bring friends so dont get attached have a back up place to yap in eng like a game where u play eng speaking servers or a site (like vlr ) overall gaming friend groups are good spot to improve ur eng

Do everything in English. there's this concept I highly recommend reading up about called "immersion learning", which is basically just surrounding yourself with the language you want to learn constantly. This way I had native-level fluency in English by the 3rd grade.

Basically all you do is set everything to english, watch everything in english (Without subtitles) and just consume as much English as possible. You have an advantage in that you already understand English and you're only looking to improve, instead of learning from the ground-up, which makes it much much much easier to actually pick up more of the language.

Humans are freakishly good at learning languages. That's like, our whole thing. It's super easy to actually learn the language once you get the ball rolling by only engaging in english

I would also say that around 60% of improving your speaking comes from Output (speaking) and the other 40% comes from Input (listening). The best thing you can do is to just talk talk talk talk as much as you possibly can with people.

Play JRPGs and visual novels, read lots of heavily illegal translated manga, and join grey zone debate forum like 4chan and such. Yes you will get slurs from basically everyone there but honestly, talking with grammar police made me conscious and helped with my englandish londonese.

to what other people are saying, immersion is the easiest way to learn a language. Just by hearing/reading it more you will pick up on it more. Change ur val settings to English, phone language, etc. Read/watch/listen in English.

Also it's really hard to learn a language, especially English. Give yourself time. It doesn't make you look dumb if you're talking to people who only know English, you are already fluent in a language and are starting another, that's hard!

Changing val and phone language doesnt do anything just a nuisance xd. listening/reading for 10 mins will probably improve your language more than having something set as a different language for a year

Moved to foreign country from Korea when I was 8 and went to int. school there. Zero English background; didn't even know what English was. So i was just there surviving day by day.

I guess you just need to be around people who speak English and be immersed in those surroundings.
