why timezones suck

Timezones do nothing but create confusion and make it harder to connect with people in other timezones, instead, we should switch to a single time.

Hear me out, all you have to do is set your clock to greenwich (+0h) timezone and shift your daily activities accordingly, instead of the sun rising at 5 it might do so at 14 for you and that's fine because you went to bed at 7 instead of 22, all you have to do is change the numbers nothing else about your daily life will change, but you will never have to check for timezones again.

its probably better overall but its too minuscule of a thing for most governments and people to switch to ngl

Sommarøy, island in Norway is time-free zone.

So time never goes forward there, right?

Meaning it's always Christmas AND my birthday at the same time, no?

So changing the time will automatically make everyone be awake at the same hours???

Even if they are across the world? This litteraly changes nothing.

I partially agree with you, I think maybe it may be confusing for an Australian to change the day in the middle of the day, and being midnight at midday.

To me the good compromis is to have only 3 or 4 (5/6 huge max) timezone, Americas, EMEA, APAC and maybe some intermediate

The less the better, yes

I don't think it'll be weird at all even for an australian tho, like he goes to bed one day at 23 for example, his clock goes back 11h automatically at like 3 and instead of waking up at 7 he gets up at 20 and sees the same sun he saw yesterday at 7

You'd think that it makes sense but it really doesn't make it any better. Only thing it makes easier is knowing when an event is happening somewhere else in the world but this system will probably cause more complications than you think.

is this not more complicated?
u have to remember which numbers represent a time of day for others

if someone across the world says "its 1:20am, i need to go to sleep" it is immediately understood because 1:20am is very late for everybody. in the timeless system someone across the world can say "its late, i need to go to sleep" and u check the time but then u have to think about how late that would be in whatever place theyre in, in which case you would probably look back at the old timezones we had

u said it would take time for retards to adjust but even if this was done we would always use the timezones we had for simplicity, at least at some times. also if ur trying to say this is a better system for smarter people couldnt a smarter person just remember all the timezones and what major cities are in them?

I disagree, i don't think this would be a problem, and it is a far simpler system imo.

also haven't most people already memorized what timezones most major cities are in? the point is that you'll know exactly what time it is everywhere, you won't have to remember, you won't even have to add or subtract.

it doesnt work like that. instead of learning time zones, you would need to learn what time other people around the world have night time, and its basically the same thing as learning timezones but with extra steps. this is the REASON why we have timezones! also the country is is centred around will not have to change anything at all, while EVERY other country in the world will! why is it fair to force half the world to readjust what they consider day and night just for a "streamlined" system?? that is such BS. other people have explained it so well so i dont think i need to repeat what they have said, but you are actually retarded yourself if you think this is a better solution to the one we have now. why change something that isn't broken?

Blud thinks he has discovered a loop hole or something new which the entire world and the most intelligent people haven't think about.

There's a reason why all the intelligent people and governments of the world agree upon timezones rather than a single time everywhere.

Bro wants to create china model everywhere, since china follows a single time zone their western is very less developed but their eastern part is much more developed.

Americans already cry over the day light saving of +-1 hour and blud wants to have same time all over the world bruh

Though it's a nice thought but practically it's worthless. There would be no uniformity, medical complications may arise, communication issues will arise.

Most importantly world follows Sun and moon as the natural teller of time and it's been going on for generations. So no one would adapt to that lol

Definitly no, timezone where made in a period where world wasnt globalized and really few people speak to people from other country, or even other village, 24 timezone is absolutely insane, and mean nothing, look at Europe most part of us are in +1 (Or +2 in summer)
Take galicia in spain they are in +2 in summer, but -1geographically, I don't think they are any problem, it's even more practical for them to have the same than France and Germany, we should have only between 3 and 6 timezone maximum

Well with all due respect, timezones were created to have a uniformity in the world and they were created to ease out trade routes wrt time of different nations.

The examples which you are giving might be due to some historical events occurred in those areas which made governments to take that decisions. Like there are lots of other countries which have some errors in their timezones irrespective of their longitudes but that's solely due to trade purposes.

Well other things is developed countries like US, EU union will just take unjust advantage of no timezones and will fuckup everything for their own good as if that's not happening.

It'll be disastrous for developing nations. So even if you're thinking about something new don't just think about how it'll be benefitting you rather think how it'll benefit the world.

Technically before timezone existed people used solar time. They create timezone to make exchange easier, and create "biggertimezone" that what we had, but they didnt dare too big timezone because it would have been too different from solar time. If timezone where made today no doubt we will have WAY more less

Can you explain please because I have no idea what you are talking about
