how are envy so good (rankers)

they just seem like 5 random ranked dudes put together on a team and they havent lost a single game yet

cause they play well together + do the basics properly + everyone has potential for a pop off round

Those five "random" ranked dudes are better than 99.99% of the playerbase

I suppose the narrative that you need to scrim lots and have set strats as a team versus individual prowess and coordination led people to believe that good ranked players wouldn't succeed at the top level.

because people dont understand that this game is a shooter first

If you watch all the NA Challengers teams besides Rankers, all of them play pretty similarly....One duelist comps, very default heavy etc...

Rankers usually plays double duelist and they have the best Yoru in terms of utility usage. As a result, they are much more versatile and can throw things at teams that the other Challengers teams don't usually see.

Poppin and Eggsterr are also very synchronized with each other since they duo all the time. It's hard to build that kind of chemistry when you just assemble a team of star players.

Basically it's much harder to anti strat against Rankers compared to the other teams since they are more unorthodox.

Put them in VCT and they'll be exposed pretty quickly. They're good in Tier2 but need more for Tier1 still.
