G2 vs EDG , is today's first match and tbh the one who wins this matchup has the very real probability of winning it all as let's be real vitality or T1 aren't beating edg in a bo5 lower finals so finals are 90% going to be edg G2. Now if G2 wins this one , they get the map veto and they prolly ban fracture and split , leaving them with pearl- their best map on which they beat edg on, haven- a solid map on their side which Edg has been dodging to play here, lotus- a solid G2 map which again edg has been banning here always, abyss - G2 second best map pick and a map which edg has been perma banning this year, bind- a decent looking G2 map but even edg don't look good on it. Thus an 75% chance of winning in the finals. Now if edg wins they don't 100% secure the win in finals but rather secure a good chance at beating G2 as they can ban any two from lotus, abyss and pearl - three maps that G2 look good on that edg have been avoiding, now one of these make it, to the maps they play possibly pearl, they get split- G2 banning this map a lot here after sen loss and edg best map pick, fracture - now there's a solid chance edg wins again but G2 had time so they do have a small chance at winning this, bind- not edgs best map but isn't G2 good map as well, and haven a 50% chance at winning

Uhmm some correction, not a ton of good maps ,they have been banning abyss as permanent , don't look confident Enough to let lotus in the 3 maps they play in the matches of bangkok, also been banning haven in Bangkok and not letting it slide in.

yeah i mean true tbh but iirc they still have a few maps they havent shown yet in bangkok, teams cant really use the vods from china kickoff to know how edg play because they play a totally different comp in bangkok

I genuinely think they're just hiding at least one of Lotus or Haven. They've been frying on those maps.

No man, they haven't been frying on lotus at all , rather it's shaky as hell and haven tho they won 2 13-0s the opposite teams were also not playing good

But he declares that 26-0 with your "bad map" is normal
XLG is even a favorite to qualify for international competitions and he called them bad

I'll amend my statement to just Haven then, but also Lotus makes sense to hide because they might be running a new comp. The Clove/Omen they ran in kickoff felt like a temporary carryover from champs. We haven't seen them play either map since Tejo released.

I think they won't ban pearl in GF since they looked solid on it against G2 and lost in OT, I wouldn't be surprised if EDG wanted another go at it

Umm, your post is nonsense. EDG are famous for having gotten 26-0 in Haven last month, they excel at Lotus because it requires less macro, they just won two Pearls and threw a free win against G2, and they won Champs with the Abyss map. Teams ban maps because it's mandatory, not because they are bad with them

This statement is just pointless. I think any one of the four teams can win the tourney, i don't see why anyone couldn't. Both T1 and Vitality can play better than what they showed yesterday, while G2 and EDG can also have bad days. So i think it's to early to say who wins or who can't when all 4 teams are still in the tournament as of right now. It's VCT anything can happen, just remember when ACEND became champions out of nowhere
