i know all if not most lev players were comfortable with english though, idk if thats the case for mibr too. If they are all fluid then verno joining is fine

The only player that wasn't that fluent in english at that point was mazino so it wasn't as big of a deal. For this mibr team I'm pretty sure only aspas and verno speak english lmao

#4 Cortezia - Mid english

but xenom and cortezia levels of english are just about enough to valorant comms + they could learn a lot before stage 1 living in LA

Oh yeah I forgot artzin spoke good english I've heard him comm while playing NA ranked. I haven't heard xenom but cortezia's english honestly sounds broken asf. I think everyone will have an ok time understanding his english except for verno but yeah it probably does make the calls worse. I wonder if the decision was partly made because their igl was one of the only players who is fluent in english

Yeah its odd for the team's identity, but for example Leviatan also changed their language because of 1 player (tex) and they won Americas and reached top 3 in the world so at least in the performance point of view its possible and it could work.

And they deserve to be unfranchised to stop represent the region they were hire to represent, because long term wise this is catastrophic.

Faria said something really important : "Adding more team will make jsut the slice smaller and not make the cake biggger", the only thing that make the cake bigger is representation, you want more people buy skin ? Make everyone feel represented, give OCE a spot, and let LA and BR keep some slot. They will be always a winner of Americas that will sell more, but if tomorrow every Americas team switch to english, it will just obliterate the sense of belonging and the national rivalries and destroy the league in the long term, no team should accept to sacrifice the sake of their region for the long term in order to increase slightely their chance to win a trophy in short term. Shortermist is what destroy everything todays

I agree with you, but this MIBR was very out of nowhere and I dont think they would search for brazilian players. Aspas only accepted cortezia and xenom because they were Sacy's recommendations and frod insisted to Aspas that artzin was good.

Brazilian valorant history only really found success with the LOUD 2022 squad and the players who played with them, so right now its hard to find new talent. Also there would be a lot the classic very possible VISA issues of signing a brazilian player in the middle of the season, so i understand why they're testing NA players. I just hope its only 1 import and the team remains brazilian so it doesnt turn into a LEV situation
