WHAT PRX LACKS:
-Leader
-FLEXIBILITY IN PLAYERS
-FURTHER FIREPOWER (beneficial win masters/champions)
REASONS:
Let me get into it. PRX heavily lacks a leader. Current situation is not working. I believe nephh would benefit a lot for the team and he should replace mindfreak. There was a period of slump in BLG where it looked impossible for them to qualify for Champs 2024. They could not qualify to Masters Shanghai 2024 with red carpet practically all over. However, with the introduction of nephh, he helped to alleviate the team to where they were able to secure enough points for a spot at Champs. Also, based on my memories, he looked to have done a lot of calling for BLEED during their Tier 2 winning stint and did see some clips of him calling during BLG's run. Stats and ability wise, very similar to mindfreak. Albeit, mindfreak is not known to be a heavy firepower player.
However, nephh looks like a genuinely realistic option.
Benefits for nephh to join PRX:
(1) beneficial for him leaving bum ass BLG
(2) higher competition in PACIFIC compared to CHINA
(3) enhanced confidence in qualifying to more international competitions compared to BLG.
Benefits for BLG selling nephh:
(1) able to import other players
(2) more local representation if they choose to
Benefits for PRX to buy nephh:
(1) many options on the market, nephh is more realistic and cheaper compared to others
(2) proven player, with ability to IGL with clear and understandable english, good shotcalling and high fragging power
(3) more local representations, fans happy
Now I will move on to why replacing something is crucial. Right now, we have both Jinggg and something on the team. Both are clear one trick players with the inability to frag well on other agents (seemingly, although Jinggg is also better when he flexes compared to something's sova for example lol). However, just purely looking at performance wise, Jinggg has been top 2 among the team (just behind f0rsaken) at most events PRX has played recently (maybe not including something's breakout year). Ability wise, Jinggg does not seem like an issue here. Never understood why people always point out Jinggg for being a one trick when something is clearly way worse. He has an inability to stay consistent whereas I find Jinggg to be really consistent despite the declining PRX form. Basically, right now PRX cannot afford to have 2 one trick players on the team. I believe something is the choice to let go of, as a pretty obvious replacement is on the scene: primmie.
primmie has played duo with Jinggg multiple times and familiarised with each others playstyle. Also, I think most people only want to remove Jinggg and not something is because something has flashy highlights once in a while and Jinggg's ability to stay consistent is downplayed heavily. I believe with good calling and better tactics, Jinggg can get back to prime 2022 state where he was a top 3 player with some having him better than yay at one point. (before Champs 2022 lol)
Benefits for primmie to join PRX:
(1) beneficial for him leaving bum ass TALON
(2) enhanced confidence in qualifying to more international competitions compared to TALON
(3) definitive spot to keep in PRX, irreplaceable as soon as he joins
Benefits of keeping Jinggg and replacing something:
(1) remove 1 of 2 one trick player among the team
(2) able to expect a more consistent performance out of Jinggg, compared to something
(3) Jinggg has been with the team longer + Jinggg and f0rsaken still one of the best duos among the scene
(4) Jinggg has closer relations with the team
(5) primmie clear upgrade to something + ability to play flex + replaces recent bad morale from something
(6) more local representations, fans happy
Lastly, I will mention replacing uncle d4v41 with kush. Personally, I find uncle d4v41 hella mid in aiming ability with bad calling on top of that. Not to discredit that he is a stable player but this is solely due to his playstyle. Kush would be a pure upgrade from d4v41 as he has great firepower, and not much role left for d4v41 since we would replace him with nephh for calling. However, this replacement is solely luxury and I don't see it as a pressing issue at hand.
Benefits for kush to join PRX:
(1) beneficial for him leaving bum ass RRQ
(2) enhanced confidence in qualifying to more international competitions compared to RRQ
(3) have indo's fan support as well, will not face backlash for leaving RRQ
Benefits for RRQ selling kush:
(1) none lol, he is a very good player
Benefits for PRX to buy kush:
(1) indo's fans would be happy that indo representation is not disregarded
(2) high fragging power with very consistent performance
(3) i like kush :)
I've given my reasonings, read them, agree disagree. I do not give a shit. I am just a bias singaporean fan who just happen to support PRX as they were the first team I watched of competitive Valorant (TGRD vs PRX). However, leave your thoughts below thanks! No hate to these players btw.
