So you agree that RRQ was not going to do shit in the event yet those that eats and breathes Valorant VODs for a living thought they had a good chance as trophy contenders in the event? How did VLR users have the sense to think that a team coming into their first event should not be seen as “favourites” ? Yes, wouldnt fault anyone having Jemkin in their Top 10 coming into this event but many put him first for fuck?

Having RRQ as a top team in Toronto is like putting stocks into an “Demon1 carry job situation” In hindsight, we know that EG had Ethan and Jawgemo to attribute to the success as well as their most important piece Potter. And any sane person knows Ewok is NOT on the same level as Potter. Mind you, had PRX 3-0/3-1 them in the lower finals, narrative around RRQ would have easily changed. And truly, had PRX went on to Grand Finals and showed a decent performance/win against GENG. Did you really think those analysts would have Pacific doing this well in Toronto? Because I do not think they would. It seems almost encoded in them that in terms of competitiveness among the regions, Pacific is still behind both western regions when many evidence points to how Pacific has already caught up and should not have been underestimated like the past events.

Besides, my original point was that for someone who does VOD reviews for a living, how can their predictions always be so off from what the outcome actually is? What makes western gameplay to be so compelling to always have them as favourites compared to Pacific?

posted 1 week ago

apparently only applies to TH this split but not GENG and PRX because OHH RRQ is so nasty with that Jemkin fella

posted 1 week ago

How does analysts who probably makes a living doing Valorant VOD reviews and stuff look so highly of western Valorant playstyle and generally writes off Asia almost before every event? Maybe they would give like a GENG top 2 before an event as a prediction because maybe they performed well in a split or event but the rest of the teams? Nah, they ass apparently. And what happened to stage experience? How the fuck did majority think that RRQ and XLG would have a higher placing than GENG and PRX when im not gonna lie, PRX cooked RRQ in that lowers final. TH getting 0:2 and 0:3 by FNC yet they are “tournament favourites”..

Might trigger some western fans here but top 8 in Pacific is wayy better than Top 8 in Americas

Pacific current Top 8:
RRQ
GENG
PRX
DRX
TLN
BME
NS
T1

Americas current Top 8:
G2
SEN
MIBR
EG
100T
KRU
NRG
C9

Im not going to list out EMEA and CN’s Top 8 because their competition sucks

the expectations on “other high level CN team” is to make playoffs in international at best

keep in mind BLG is probably considered 2nd in CN before this event and yet the furthest they went was only to playoffs with whzy having to drop a carry job boasting of 310+ ACS across both series against the same NRG team

i presume wolves would ride on the high of this masters, make champs but their chance of making another top 3, maybe even top 6 at the following champs? idk

i just want more trophy contenders for an entire region and this wolves is special, consisting of a good core and genuine finance backing, they should want to challenge edg for CN and compete among the 3 (now that XLG is showing potential) so that atleast there is 3 trophy contending teams from a region / playoff making teams

though yea, probably roster change aft seeing how the champs go is the best choice

posted 1 week ago

whzy yes life debatable but i think juicy is a core 3 player (siufat, juicy, spring) just feel that the other two is on a weaker end

posted 1 week ago

ok but on a tangent,

having players like FengF on TE and whzy on BLG is like Oxy on C9. Teams that may (not even guaranteed) to make internationals and never win a title

i was just on the thought that Wolves being Wolves have the finance to bring this players in and genuinely build a roster that can rival EDG (historically) in VCT CN

posted 1 week ago

i mean there was quite a stark difference in player quality in the FNC game where it looks like FNC wasnt even playing serious

also partly because i am a yuicaw lysoar hater :p

posted 1 week ago

They should pull a HLE and sign the best players in VCT CN like BLG whzy, TE FengF even FPX Life as these guys will never win a international trophy on their team lol while keeping the core Juicy, SiuFatBB and of course Spring

idk man prob will get hate for this

Honestly do not know what Alecks is on.. the team comp could easily have been the meta comp, and having something on his comfort Jett is so much better than having him on anything else other than Yoru.

Jett (something)
Omen (Jinggg)
Killjoy (d4v41)
Kayo (Patmen)
Sova (f0rsaken)

In fact, did they not play this exact comp before? What exactly is uncomfortable about this in the team?? Well, I wouldn’t know since I am not from the team but PLEASE LET SOMETHING ON HIS JETT.. WATCHING HIS GEKKO OP IS ABYSMAL

personally i find it harder to imagine a prx without d4v41

  1. Forsaken
Insane player, both regionally and internationally. Not much to say, pretty obvious why he is first. Best flex player in the world while juggling IGL work is crazyyyy. Most valuable player in PRX.

  2. Jinggg
The addition of Jinggg revived PRX in the early days, arguably top 10 player in Masters Reykjavik and easily top 3 player in Masters Copenhagen. Had a quiet year in 2023 but was able to pick up new agents this year to increase his flexibility amongst the team. Not to mention, the best Raze player in the world who is able to make set plays that we have never seen before work like natural in a pro setting. Statistically, best PRX player in stage 1 this year, and did a carry job to bring PRX to playoff, especially that DFM game. Top 2 for sure.

  3. d4v41
The old reliable. The voice of reason while not being the flashiest in the team. While there was a dip in form during PRX’s struggle this season, he turned it back and has been insanely good ever since. Arguably top 10 in his prime.

  4. something
Revived PRX’s season in 2023. 2nd Rookie of the Year in 2023. Finals MVP in 2023 for Pacific’s first franchise league, helping us win our first technical major title. While his prime was in 2023, he is still insanely mechanically gifted and never really fell off in both 2024 and 2025. Honestly, his Yoru was mega lacklustre all the way until Stage 1 playoffs, where he was able to use Yoru’s kit to great effect. While not exactly consistent every game, he fits PRX’s duelist profile to a glove. Deserved top 4.

  5. mindfreak
Moved to assistant coach + bench player this season, giving way to the introduction of Patmen. While his stats were never fantastic, he was a solid rock in the team that played a similar role to d4v41. Had the highest rating in PRX during his peak in Masters Copenhagen, while boasting the highest clutch % in the same tournament at 1.12 and 35% respectively. Honestly had he kept his form since Masters Copenhagen, this list would surely have him in top 3 conversation easily.

  6. Patmen
Honestly, he is just placed 6th due to him literally just joining the team this season. Not only is he responsible for the revival of PRX this season, he was the one player profile PRX needed desperately. While he looked nervous when he first joined the team, he improved tremendously in a short span of time and has integrated himself as a core member of the team. Not afraid to voice his opinion and pull on the leash before anything stupid happens, which PRX greatly sucked at, definitely contender for rookie of the season if PRX goes on a run this year Would be higher up the list as time goes.

  7. Benkai
Loved by fans worldwide for his funny personality and creative walkout. Decent IGL that brought PRX to a top 4 finish in Reykjavik and top 2 in Copenhagen. Left PRX with a positive image. Just a chill guy fr.

  8. CGRS
Streamer turned pro player just for a single tournament. Helped PRX reach a top 3 finish in Masters with his Gekko. Statistically, he was shit. However, he did his job after being such an impromptu sub and with limited practise with the team, he was still able to leave PRX with a positive image, especially after that 1v1 against s0m in Pearl. One of the most memorable subs in VCT history.

  9. Monyet
This might be the only miss in terms of transfers in PRX. One of if not the best player in Global Esports 2023. Had such high expectations coming in as Jinggg’s replacement. However, likely due to Alecks forcing him to be on the Raze majority of the time, he was straight up shit. A lot better on the smokes compared to the Raze but with mindfreak on the team, it resulted in a role clash. Sadly, not only did he not meet the expectations, he could not even finish a single positive KD in a VCT series once. Most memorable for the series against Heretics in Madrid but that’s about it. Honestly, this is like the Eden Hazard transfer to Real Madrid. Glad he is doing well in RRQ.

  10. shiba
New fans would not know this guy. But honestly, there is no reason to lol. Most memorable for dropping 0 kills against SMB in Breeze during PRX’s first international. Only real achievement is being the 5th best player in PRX when he was playing I guess?

posted 3 weeks ago

thats
 hopeful

posted 3 weeks ago

I had the opinion that had PRX 3-0 or 3-1 RRQ and went to the finals, they would absolutely obliterate GENG..

Do you guys think RRQ or GENG would look this dominant against Heretics? Just wanna hear your opinions!!

i dont watch tier 2 na but isnt this guys stats lowkey crazy.. like bro looks like the next aspas with those stats

any predictions where he may be picked up in case envy dont make tier 1?

posted 1 month ago

Ok thats just wrong tho

IMO, he has the capability to be the best player in the world and also the worst. For map 1, you get prime aspas and the second you get patrickwho. Another downside is that he literally cannot flex. One of the best jett and one of the most mid yoru player ever.

If I could compare in terms of quality, he probably is around Jremy level lol

posted 1 month ago

Always has been my opinion but something, this guy is the definition of a highlight player. Consistency? Throw that out the window! Pop off 1 map and drop double negative the other thats how he is.

Also, sidenote but mindfreak is NOT making back the roster. I realised how important patmen has been to this team lol. Bro might be stuck on assistant coach

These guys will probably say they cant see PRX making out the group stage and rank them 12 lol
