I don't believe my post deserved a downfrag. Can you un-downfrag it?
Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downfrag. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to VLR PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downfrag appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?
Accept the downfragand move on. But learn from this mistake: your behavior will not be tolerated on VLR.gg. I will continue to issue downfrag until you improve your conduct. Remember: VLR.gg is privilege, not a right.

Apeks is bad but far far better than what 2G showed in kickoff. Americas have by far the best ascension roster (g2) but also by far the worst (2g)

I mean thats true but Apeks lost some key players as well, the "ap0ks" argument doesn't really make sense, despite losing the only 2 people who could frag on apeks, apeks look palatable. 2G just looked atrocious like the worst "tier 1" team in a very long while.

Let me remind you that T2 NA competes at a T1 level, just look at FURIA NA
Not to mention that teams IN EU have started grabbing NA imports more frequently, including APAC as well. You dont see people signing EU imports in Americas, or APAC imports in EU.
