EDG fluke decision

i've always advocated for EDG having had a fluke win at champs (without proof, was really just a gut feeling), but i'm curious as to what would have to happen for the majority to acknowledge it was a fluke win too. which one of the following thing would have to happen in yalls opinion for people to consider EDG flukey (like acend)

EDG qualifies to 0 international events this year (extremely unlikely because CN is farming region)
EDG don't make it to playoffs in any international event this year (50/50 imo, i think with them prob being #1 seed at champs they'll get through against #3 and #4 seeds of other regions)
EDG don't make it to top 4 at any international event this year (99% imo)

It's just not a fluke if they beat all the other teams in the top 4 without dropping a series. They can fall off, but that doesn't mean they weren't the best at the time. It just means everyone else got better since then.

its more likely a fluke in single elim. Acend would still need to play a second match with gambit if it was todays standards, which means they gotta play like the best for the whole tournament run, not just 1 match. acend also got an extremely easy bracket, ts were complete bums

well can kru beat gambit to face acend? the answer should be no. but anyways this champions kru probably wouldve beat acend if it was upper bracket.

Acend caught gambit on 1 off day, where only nAts knew how to shoot back, and zeeks was playing like a god. Had the tournament been longer. Acend either lose and become flukes, or they prove they can beat gambit again and show that they arent frauds.

Since its most likely Acend would lose to gambit if they played again, people call Acend frauds.

the only way we can tell if it was a fluke if we have a time machine and we have the people who qualified change like prx,t1,geng etc etc and see if EDG still win out imo if geng got out they win or fuck over edg at worst even KK drops the world record kill again meteor,texture,karon HARD clear but that is just copium cause they didnt most tourney winners have powerspike at the right place and time
doesn't matter one wrong the thing happens outside of CN and people will call it a fluke most likely

if a team cant even make it out of groups, they shouldnt be worth considering for the number 1 spot. EDG beat every single member of the top 4. that should be proof enough

Trace played insanely good today
EDG had a history of regional dominance but failed to deliver in LAN, because they are just better than most of the teams in China and the teams failed to utilize the flaws in their gameplay against them. That made them believe in their gameplay way too much.
But now there are actually serious contenders like trace, i wont be surprised if EDGs gonna abandon their current lotus comp and go with the meta comp

I mean I don't think it was a fluke, I think it was more a they didn't go to any other events so they weren't nearly as burnt out as many of the other teams and they built crazy momentum in the group stage after beating both FUT and PRX and then that momentum just kept building as they kept winning.
