Im still supporting tommy? dream inserted himself into internet beef he wasnt involved in and pissed off a large part of the old mcyt fanbase. The beef is really boring but i think it is more that people are collectively bringing up everything dream has done because everyone is done with dream

If you believe in the "reclaim" philosophy, then guess what, Dream is diagnosed with ADHD & autism i.e. he has neurological disorders i.e. he gets to reclaim the narrate word. And Dream's never used the other slur, and who the fuck are you to know about another person's sexuality lmao.
I don't even like dream's content and can't stand to watch it, but at this point the double standards applied against him are fucking insane, and I keep up with this bullshit since it always gets pushed to trending on youtube/twitter.

I think the context matters reclaiming a slur is for the affected group to use it in a way to make sure it makes the word less dehumanizing in this context he is throwing out a slur in the same way people are asked not to use the slur I think the way he used it to insult people rather than lift them up (which is the point of reclaiming) is what is problematic about this.
yeah id rather watch tommys vids despite how cringe he is because of nostalgia while dream hardly posts anymore and when he does its usually not my cup of tea.
but i hate the way people are glazing tommy although he barely addressed shit, instead just saying "shame on you" 50 times.
tommy also keeps taking jabs at dream, talking shit about him elsewhere, while dream is trying to be more straight forward i feel. Although dream was definitely being abit immature, i think that tommy is kinda just clout chasing and since more people support him hes the "good guy"
tommy did not address stirring up shit behind the scenes between qsmp and usmp(idc abt this shit tbh) and keeps pushing already proven false allegations as his case against dream

100% this. The reason I'm familiar with any of this is because I really enjoyed technoblade.
I have always been aware that Tommy is somewhat two-faced. There was a funny moment back in the smp days where Techno was on Tommy's stream joking about "imagine people watching other people play video games" & Tommy was flipping out and telling techno to stop bc "they haven't clocked it" lmao. I always liked techno's content because he legitimately put effort and story telling into his videos, in contrast to a lot of other youtuber's more formulaic content, which is why techno was perfectly fine making that joke, bc he was honest with his audience.
tommy and his friend group have continually bashed dream for clout, and now go surprised pikachu face when dream gives in to the pressure for a moment lol
