exhibit 1: nobody team thrower + 1 month igling = team win champs 😹
exhibit 2: boo from trashretics 2023 to 2024 2 2nd
exhibit 3: boaster "goat" igl fnc nowhere to be found without leo
exhibit 4: fns "goat" igl diffed by biank ???goat??? igl???

result: team + (fragger - igl) = win
team - (fragger - igl) = lose

thoughts?

I don't see how #1 helps your point when it's specifically that putting someone new on IGL and getting a new support player (both of whom often ended up bottom of the scoreboard) made all the difference.

Their star players hardly changed and yet they went from getting instant grouped to world champs. That has to be due to the IGL, utility-calling, and coaching changes.

the igl myth was created by na cs frogs, this game does not require crazy mid rounding or calls. Just have 8-10 drilled set plays and have a sense of understanding of what your teammates are doing with a 30%+ hs and have incredible game sense to feel clutches out or intense scenarios (ranked experience mainly). If these teams were playing as much as cs teams, then it makes sense to have an incredible igl/captain, but this game doesn't have that. The formula I mentioned in the 1st sentence is the same formula that has been used for the past 2 years(SEN split retakes and reclears, EG's set plays with Demon1, EDG trap plays with KangKang,).
