Also the ss proof seems kinda sketchy, the inbox screenshot doesn't seem to be the message regarding the incident and their explanation is that the dm was never opened and so there's no ss of the actual message inside. So how did they know what she texted without opening the dm or otherwise if they saw the text from notifications why would you still not open the dm and look into it just out of curiosity.

It could be due to possible liability issues. Like if you open the DM, and it shows "seen", the college admins may have to take action but they could deny the claim by saying they didn't "see" the DM
