I am gonna try learn 1 agent better and rank up with it.
Jett and clove. The key is not really the agent choices but dont undervalue ur life and taking a free 50/50 1v1. Instead, bait ur teammate and only go for straight 1v1 if u have an advantage (play around team util or using stuff like iso shield or jett knives/op). Jett is the agent for solo queue cus u can learn how to take a timing and get out with her dash (mostly a free pick)
statistically clove

but imo clove teaches you bad habits, I'd go for Omen, Sova or Cypher if you want a deeper understanding of the game
The heal is selfish, like the Reyna heal. The smokes are objectively worse than other agents (shorter range, shorter duration). The only good thing about the smokes is that if you die you get to keep on smoking but that makes you value your life less overall (you can play in worse positions and not get punished, which may mean that you reenforce playing in bad positions).
Also a good amount of people who play Clove are duelist mains who have no idea about smoke timings or positioning. It's like playing Reyna or Iso. Will you rank up? Yeah, if you can out aim people. But will you become an objectively better player? nah not imo, you'd eventually reach a wall where mechanics can't get you further, and your choice of agent will limit what plays you can and cannot do
If you wanna play only for fun absolutely go for it, but imo if you want to improve as a player it's a bad choice
Nah I disagree, there's more to the game than aiming, teamplay is very important. When you see high Radiant streamers and pros play Clove/Reyna in ranked you'll notice they play much differently than your teammates. Even on "selfish'' characters their teamplay is leagues above even immos I'd say
Reyna is the worst offender imo, for example you can play in a really bad position, still get one because you out aim your opponent (or your opponent is just oblivious), even if they're in a good position and get out for free. When you inevitably rank up doing that over and over again you'll end up facing enemies who'll actually will be able to punish you, and you'll hit a wall. I've had this experience and many of my friends have too. I've seen some youtube coaches cover it too.
as I said before if you want to play the agents for fun that's completely understandable, but if you really want to focus on improving it's a detriment
btw just so I have the full picture, are you a Clove/Reyna/Iso/Chamber main?
