Verno is the method

I studied like 1.5h of Verno VODS and tried to replicate his decision making in ranked. The only game I didnt win and didnt perfrom was a game where I got bitched by a toxic 3 stack and stopped making the plays I thought were right. (granted I have a bit above average aim for the rank and fell a lot this season by playing with friends for fun, but genuinely I got so many advantages that got me free kills)

3 stacks in this game are the worst, everytime I get one I wanna throw their game, all they do is comm in their discord call and when you make a simple mistake they all turn on their mics and shit talk

not really exclusive to 3 stacks. valorant community just sucks.

3 people comming in a discord call is more than the people comming in your average game anyway

He hard abuses holds, a lot of the time people in ranked will just swing cause they get bored. I got so many clutches by just holding an off angle in like ct getting the first one and snowballing the rest cause they were off position just searching for me to farm stats.

He makes his own plays and prioritizes his life, eg. like if my team is going out of main in a midround into site but we dont have smokes to smoke a choke, I am the one to hold the choke and get the trade and not the one who gets traded. He also doesnt take spike and farms ult orbs.

Plays a lot off of reads and minimap on defence, by picking what site he plays and where he will play absed on ults and econ (just plays the probability game) and is generally very proactive but in a smart way, like he will not run it down main but if he sees that the enmy team is pushing on the other side if he doesnt wanna rotate because he thinks its a fake or he sees an opportunity to flank, he will account for a possible lurk and clear it meticoulously before running it down flank or simply stays in an extended position and plays trigger discipline (if fake). In one of the vods he sniffs out a fake so he runs to the other side of the map to throw a cage so the enemy team thinks he is there and wont push the cyphers site, runs back and pushes up main and then just gets free kills winning the round when the enemies rotate.

What I noticed a lot on T side is that he will move a lot more from good angle to good angle. like he will approach Bind B long by going as far as possible on the little wall to peek at first (optimal peek), then he will go forward and to the left to peek when scaling next to the wall so he can dodge a flash etc. etc. like he doesnt care that his team is skipping steps and going faster, he still plays it proper.

Thats how every "smart" pro player should be playing to be honest. You can differentiate "good" pros to "great" pros from their style of play and discipline, including decision makings + aim ofcourse.

It's really impressive to me that he has the skill to make his aim and fighting his identity but he doesnt do that.

I am realizing thaf Inhave been stuck at this level not because of my mechanics but because how I choose to use them, big thanks to verno for that.

Then you either dont have good mechanics or you are doing things wrong.

Its not glorified baiting if you have the skill to win your team rounds, like with all due respect fuck my unconfident, lost ass 11/13 sova he can die I'll trade him and probably win my 1v1 for the round because I trust myself more than I trust him and even than he trusts himself.

Baiting is only when u don't take the chances given to you and just sit and do nothing. If your teammate is playing under heaven on ascent in a postplant and you swing through a smoke main off of his contact and you get the round because the enemies are distracted younare not baiting you are just playing your (safe) position well.

i think what we should take away from this is that you just pick 1 pro player of choice that you like, replicate his decision making, and have semi decent mechanics, it'll do wonders
