my take on the c9 rossy situation

while i think it's absolutely fucked that he's getting dropped a month or two before the season and i wish him nothing but the best, yall have to use your brain. the PLAYERS didn't want to play with him. the chemistry didn't work out and they didn't like his calling style. why would they continue to play with him if it's not working out? the igl is so important and it wasn't clicking so instead of fucking their entire season, they decided to drop him and bring in someone else. we saw this sorta with the bleed situation last year where egoist got fucked, but that's sorta dif ig

anyways, if the entire team voted him out, why are we hating on the org? they had nothing to do with it and instead of fucking over everyone else they decided to listen to the players

ofc i could just be blindly following c9 and they could be lying out of their asses but if immi himself said they all voted unanimously, i dont think the org c9 should be receiving the hate this time around

To me it's a matter of principle.
C9 shouldn't have made a promise they couldn't keep

From what I understand Immi said that his signing was pretty much a trial, and he wasn't told that

Not exactly. They were planning on dropping him but his highly unexpected performance delayed things. Im assuming that atp out of game drama escalated. (That parts speculation)

He still should've been told before redbull that his position was in jeopardy
imo there's no excuse for that

this is my full take: https://www.vlr.gg/426891/rossy-finding-out-he-was-dropped/#22

Mainly because its a pattern of behavior by the org of dropping players last minute. Its on the org/coach to assemble a winning team, if the players cant handle their differences, even when it means success that the org has never really reached, it says something about the team culture imo.

Also idk how this move isn't fucking their entire season lmao, dropping your igl a month and a half away from kickoff is a textbook example of that

well not to be that guy, but edg dropped haodong and picked up s1mon(literal nobody)and put nobody(FOR REAL literal nobody) on igl and they went from the worst int team to the best

sorry for bad nobody joke

fair point but it's a bit of a different situation, no? Haodong was still with the team as AC and nobody(the player) had been with the team for a couple years, I imagine that it wasn't a huge transition in terms of calling

Yeah but for the one example of this working well there are tens of examples of it failing miserably

even when it means success that the org has never really reached

Dude they literally reached this success last year with curry standing in

Everyone’s taking getting second in an offseason tourney way too seriously. People are acting like C9 won champs with Rossy then cut him

sure it was a little exaggeration but cmon now, 2-2 on maps vs. Zeta & beating Fennel (yes they did beat FUT ik) is not the same as beating Fnatic, TH and 2-0ing G2.

The org has been to champs lmao

Just a ridiculous exaggeration to act like they achieved anything significant historically

fnatic were playing with a sub, TH with a sub, G2 hadn't played the game in months
it's really not as impressive as it sounds

I mean, Rossy to mitch is probably a pretty huge downgrade imo. Besides the drop in firepower, they have no sova player. Xeppa and Mitch have less pro sova games combined EVER than rossy has had in the past 2 months. Secondly, they could've swapped moose for mitch. Moose is decent, but imo rossy is objectively better. Rossy is fragging heavy while igling, was one of the better players on t1, and proved that he was worth it. Why is the solution kicking arguably their best (or second best) player when Rossy can easily flex into literally any other role besides Oxy's? Like sure, his igling might not be the greatest in terms of chemistry, but surely the solution is to... make him not igl and drop someone that is mechanically weaker than him for mitch no??

i think they would've explored options before dropping their igl. i think it may not just have been an igl problem but also just vibes in general cuz i may be spreading misinfo but i think platchat said that he used to be toxic or something

I have multiple problems with C9

The Team has a “problem” with Rossy but have you noticed “this team” has no problems with Moose and Xeppa? Why can’t the Team BUILD around Rossy and Oct instead of Moode and Xeppa Why can’t they Get two talented T2 players instead of Xeppa and Moose like Moose was one of the worst sentinel players in NA last year and Xeppa being below average for 3 whole years apparently means nothing to the C9 staff. They are kept because of nepotism and not to build anything.

They don’t care about performance at all (them keeping Xeppa and Moose is prove of that).

Their nepotism is so bad that their gate keeping So much better talent from T2 for seemingly no results compared to every other NA team. They are the only NA org that hasn’t made a International lan during the partnership era (lock in doesn’t count obviously cause everyone was invited) NRG, EG, 100t,SEN, G2 all have qualified to at least 1 in these last 2 years alone).

Signing a contract for 2027 with a Rossy and than dropping them 2 months later like is there any validity to their signings.

There is a serious problem with the management and the biggest problem rn is that the players are comfortable around each other (I mean “these guys are my friends, so no matter how badly I perform nobody will ever drop me cause they love me” type comfortable.

alr moose i can get behind wanting off the team, but personally i think xeppa is a vibes guy and he's not TERRIBLE

i agree with the rest of the stuff although idk how chemistry relates to wanting moose and xeppa off the team

agree man the org is shit bru so when trialing it was all fine then when all teams got their rosters they release rossy, while keeping old players who clearly havent taken the team to new heights

I just read it somewhere on VLR that, he was dropped because he tried to correct their mistakes and every one on the team wanted him to leave after that and org is getting abused because they are kicking a guy who's actually trying to win.
