I think it's a lot like early PRX
They'll succeed against teams who don't anti-strat or have a lower quality of anti-stratting. But against teams who will review their VODs properly and prepare for the players habits I think it'll become a lot harder for them. Especially because they're running (pretty much) the same comp on every map.
I think it's harder to see right now because they're new and there are no VODs to go over (This exploits the concept with some of the one-and-done comps we see in tier 1).
With that being said I really hope they stick together and try and fight to ascension, since I will 100% watch their games
If Rankers even go to Ascension it's gonna be a problem for tier 2 NA lmao
It's only an issue if they actually win Ascension since they have 2 players that are 16. So they wouldn't be able to play for part of the season they qualed for.
If people are fine with Karon/Primmie (2 ranked players) getting picked up right from ranked and doing well regionally, then it's not a negative thing if rankers make it to T1 in Americas.
i mean they are different since they dont even have a coach (for now) and have chaotic agent pools
very low, maybe top 4 potentially in playoffs to qualify for ascension? but doubt theyll even make it
It’s too early to talk about lofty goals for them. But if they are bought out by some organization and they win Split 1, then they will definitely be the heavy favorites to win
I just don't see any team in Tier 2 NA that can actually beat Rankers. Try and assemble a super team of Tier 2 players and they would still lose to Rankers.
Rankers can beat at least half the VCT teams currently.
Teams will def change before going into stage 1 and teams will have more practice time. I def see a different T2 team being able to surpass them. For all we know, some of rankers players could get poached to a different T2 team if the money is right.
maybe in 2026 if they get picked up or stay together, but i dont think they will next season teams will be able to counter them once they can come up with a way to slow there playstyle.
I doubt it. A good team can certainly counter their playstyle and punish them. Teams will also likely improve as the year goes on, whereas rankers don't even prac.
