The pacing just became horrendous in the final episode and there were glaring plot holes. All of season 2 has been fast paced, and it wasn't a problem at all, but there were too many gaps/things not shown on screen that the viewers had to fill in for the final "sequence". Like it leaves a sour taste after being peak fiction for 5 acts.
Yes, the pacing of the last episode was horrendous. The fact that you're talking about new plots and plot twists in response to my comment on pacing shows that either you have no idea wtf pacing is, or you're trolling.

Why the fuck does the warwick automoton wake up and attack? Warwick/the beast's conciousness was lost alongside all the other people who got turned into automotons. If warwick wakes up, all the other automotons should also wake up, and yet that never happens. In other words, the circumstances of Jinx's "death" are a plot hole pulled out of the ass to create that scenario.
You mean to tell me that future Victor couldn't give any better instructions than "blast my past self in the chest, but let me recover to the point of almost causing the calamity you are trying to prevent"?
Jayce says we have to destroy the hex gates, and proceeds to wait a signifcant amount of time to do this for no reason, all so that we can get the dramatic entrance of victor into a jayce and victor 1v1 confrontation. Why the fuck have Jayce do it by himself? We couldn't spare a few technicians who are of no use on the battle field to help him get it done faster?
When/why does Maggie betray Piltover? This question is never answered. Her betrayal is revealed and not even 3 minutes of screentime later she is dead.
Jinx survives. We see her pink trail dash out of the explosion, see Cait looking at the pathway she used to escape on the Kiramman terminal, and "the end" with the airship is written in the letters of her hallucinations. This doesn't match Jinx's character arc. Jinx was suicidal throughout, always willing to die in a fight. Echo saved her from killing herself literally via grenade, but we were not shown enough to warrant her wanting to escape the explosion that killed the warwick automoton. We are literally shown her accepting death as she falls. Also, the warwick automoton had her firmly in its grasp, which we were shown as being super strong. So somehow the warwick automoton lets go of her with her being harmed, she recovers from that massive fall without being harmed, all with enough time to escape the explosion? BS. The studio kept her alive for fear of backlash from jinx stans, but in so doing wrote in her commiting to an action that is out of her character.
There are more issues than these, these are just off the top of my head. Up to episode 7, Arcane continued to be peak fiction, but in episode 8 the pacing and gaps became too big to ignore, and episode 9 was a clusterfuck. There was simply too much material to close out in episode 9. Because of the ending, the highest I can rate the show is an 8/10 when before episodes 8/9 it was on track to being a perfect masterpiece.

I think you’re wrong about the Jinx situation. They left it ambiguous for this very reason. Casual viewers aren’t going to notice a frame of a pink streak, and it’s only implied she survives. She breaks the cycle by escaping the constraints of piltover/zaun and starting a new life. I agree the ending was super rushed but I felt it more with Caitlyn and Vi than anything else. Their story god muddled down for the sake of other narratives being boosted, like the sex scene just felt unneeded (and this is coming from a lesbian who desperately wanted the scene) and out of place. Jinx was suicidal yes, but she also found reasons to keep living in Vi and Ekko, she just can’t accept that quite yet. I’m sure if we do end up getting the Noxus show with Swain that the gang will make an appearance, but yeah the show went from a 10/10 to a 9.5/10 with the ending for sure. Hate how they executed Warwick at the end and that they just shoehorned Sevika into the council
I fully fucking disagree with you. The ending was beyond phenomenal, I've been crying for hours. Episode 7 made my heart heavy, episode 8 made me cry, and that last episode made me feel anger, hope, betrayal, happiness and absolute despair every five minutes. It was beautiful, it made sense, and I will be rewatching it on repeat for the next week.
You shouldnt need to feel that many emotions in the span of like 30 minutes 😭
the impact of every emotion was restricted because of the pacing having no time to build any of it up or provide context

its just a waste of potential, ending was good but it could have been great, it just didnt hit the same as the earlier episodes of season 2 yk
if they just added another act with 3 more episodes or even released a finale movie to wrap things up nicely in an epic theatrical experience

might be a bit of a stretch but in the clock tower explosion scene, if you go frame by frame, you can see a streak of shimmer leaving the blast radius. also, the ending scene with caitlyn looking at the clock tower schematics while holding jinx's chomper grenade and ending with an airship scene could indicate the same.
I fucking hate what they did to viktor not for story reasons, but because they're gonna change my favorite champ in league of legends to fit the stupid story. he's no longer going to be an evil machine supremacist built out of steel but instead magic jesus; they're going to change his art, his lore, even his gameplay mechanics.
Like in valorant terms imagine if they made a valorant show and the show was different from the ingame lore, and riot liked it so much that they decide to change the ingame lore and also redesign jett and change all her abilities to be in line with it
