looks pretty mid no?
Dunno who downvoted this comment, but this is true. Mel is a great IGL and the rest of the team helps facilitate flor's kills. Sarah's util is probably some of the best in GC and it kinda surprises me how sarah doesn't get as much discussion if she should play Tier 2 valorant given she has the aim and game sense to probably keep up there. She also has hit that 1000RR threshold like florescent so she can put in the grind and output something. Though it would be fine, it would not be the same level of dominance.
No shit
Take T3xture out of GenG before Masters Shanghai and put in a stand in and see how they do
Flyquest took time rebuilding and this year they made it back to GCC
Similarly, if Flor goes to college or Tier 2, they can buy a duelist to replace her with time and atleast make it to GCC
I am not discrediting Florescent, she is the greatest thing to touch GC by a mile
This is just an answer to whether they would implode
I'm 100% certain, the majority of women want women only, but can't say it coz of cancel culture. The time we live in is doomed. If I was a women and a professional player, I would feel fooled. Make a separate tournament for these guys or combine them in 5 stacks and let them try to qualify for tier 2, but no gc is lucrative and easier to get money as a guy and any team with one of them won't say anything, coz they have it easier to make bag and go to champions,
Only speaking fax.
Okay but that is admitting defeat before shooting a single bullet? Why would you allow yourself to enter the competitive scene with a losers mentality? GC was never since its start cis women only, and if you can't handle that, then why join the bracket? It's like going to a candy shop knowing you hate candy, there's no such thing as being fooled here. You either win or you lose, and if you're better, you win.
the thing is that some of these players just transition to gc, coz they know it's easier to farm, making it harder for women to win. It's not accepting defeat. If there is vct where 100% of the players are male, then it's obvious, that it's not possible to win. It's being realistic.
As a women, I would want to either try my best in vct to get into tier 2, but if it's not working, be in a women only scene, where there are not these players, that ruin the scene.
I have nothing against them gamewise, I'll take flor as an example, since this post was initially about flor. I love the shooting, the flicks, but it would have been better to see these skills in tier 2 and make gc a more even stage. Same goes for the other players. They could easily build a 5 stack and try to compete for tier 2, but again. Not trying something hard, when it's easy to get money in gc
I planned on writing a lot more to fully talk about this but I think it's best I just simplify. Full female / GC teams are not tier 2 ready until they get into tier 2 via open qualifiers or Premier. End of story. They are not trying hard enough, they don't play as if their lives depend on it.
"more even stage" is just a massive cope, GC needs to have the bar constantly raised, not evened out. That is not how you create competition.
If you transition the way flor has been doing for the last 4 years, I see no issue with her playing in GC. She has been on HRT for as long as Valorant has been a thing, and actually longer than that. It's ridiculous people still claim she transitioned for the sake of GC, she would need to be some sort of crazy psychic to predict she'd have a career in Valorant.
Does she farm them regardless? Yes, that's not debatable.
Should she go tier 2? Also yes, I think she should try.
Has her team proven they're not tier 2 ready as a unit? Yes.
Should she leave them? Up to her. You can't do much about it.
Will she leave GC? Up to her, she claims her end goal is VCT, so she would need to leave GC and her team behind for that.
Do I think the non-binary label opens up a lot of gray area? 100% yes. But flor isn't non-binary.
