Champions >>>> Masters

Many will call me crazy, but after many calculations and studies I came to this result:

Winning kick off = 0 points (This is the beginning, some teams use this just to test things).

Winning the first masters of the year = 2 points (It's still a short time, usually the teams that have been together for a while have a certain advantage).

Winning Stage 1 = 1 points (There is already some competition).

Winning the second master of the year = 5 points (Here we discover the real level of the teams).

Winning stage 2 = 3 points (Very underrated imo. Everyone tries their best to reach Champions).

Winning champions = 8 points. (The best team wins. There is no room for excuses).

Yeah and also depends on things such as visa issues, single elimination qualifiers and etc
So masters Reykjavik is 0 points because fpx couldnt attend the event
And masters madrid is also 0 point because its a shit Mickey mouse event with 8 teams and single elim qualifier

Maybe it’s just me, but calling it STAGE 1 & STAGE 2 kinda makes the event feel less important? Like, when they announce "THIS TEAM IS YOUR STAGE 1 CHAMPIONS" it sounds off. I’d prefer if they used something like midseason/summer or whatever instead.

I don't like the names either. Stage 1 by itself doesn't have much credit because it doesn't give you any trophies.

It does, you just get a trophy that’s the size of a plate

depends on the region, I think. Americas didn't

I'd like Spring and Summer like how league of legends does it

Yes there is a reason why we have 1 champs and multiple masters in a year ... u only get 1 chance for that golden trophy

É que n teve um time americano ganhando o Americas ainda, então eles não dão importância.

I mostly agree tbh
but it doesn't sit right with me that winning split 2 > winning masters 1

When you look at it in context, you understand why the first masters is not that relevant.

yeah but at the end of the day there are still international teams competing for the masters trophy, it isn’t just regional. you can weight it less but i would bump masters 2 to seven points and champs to ten points and make madrid four points, stage two can stay as three, stage 1 can be two and kickoff could be one or something. Especially since kickoff will be double elimination next year

i fuck with it. Stage 2 winners are regional winners. Riot should work that more than they do

why not make the format like the 2025 LoL esports format? Especially the LCK format, that will be entertaining af
