Omg the fuck is wrong with vlr dumbos who think they know the game better than certified coaches and analysts, Well here's your more suited reason why they did that:
Firstly it's way better to have your igl on an active role like controller or initiator than a senti why? Cause simply then the igl is with the team on attack rounds which helps on giving the best possible call for execution and not executing while he's on a complete different location where he can't see the entire thing , just cause sentinels were good in 2024 with him on senti doesn't invalidate all this.
Then narrate has great fucking firepower which honestly can't be utilised COMPLETELY on a info initiator role which he plays, cause when he's on defence you don't want your info initiator to always take fights and die and then have no information about the map and so when he's on senti , he's mechanically and aim wise good enough to solo anchor a site with his setups moreover he can push to take space on the map which he wouldn't be able to when he's on an initiator role and when he's on attack it's common sense u don't want ur info initiator again taking fights alone but he can do that on senti where he lurks by himself to create space and get them a possibly open site where even if he dies it's not making his team impossible to execute a site.
Also being real tho the split was a NRG masterclass and I don't think sentinels used that viper in a really good way, I don't know how NRG won the sunset, NRG were making way too many mistakes in that map and even though sentinels were making lesser mistakes they lost which simply boils down to the fact that zekken wasn't a fucking menance on that neon cause u can check all that time when sentinels were winning with that neon comp is when zekken is just sliding and frying enemies and in this match tho he did definitely good he was shut down so many times by ethan to just completely sweep the round in sentinels favour showing they are heavily reliant on zekken neon in sunset
