Because neither Verno nor Mada made it into Ascension

They lost to TSM, a team that got grouped.
And was dominated by All Knights, LATAM's second seed

Also you guys signed Bonkar as an HC, that's like signing Stk as HC, they ain't upgrading shit.
They can help middle out the team but ain't coming up with no groundbreaking insight

If they were ranked demons I could understand the hype but they're just t2 bread and butter teams

Bread and butter? That’s the same as saying aspas and less deserved no hype because both weren’t doing shit in T2 before going to Loud

Verno and mada are the two biggest prospects in NA this year, verno is getting hyped up since last year and mada was already frying while he was playing with yay on andbox. Both of them have been improving exponentially and were the highest rated players in T2 so don’t disregard something just cause you don’t know it

Because NRG was pretty bad last year (even with FNS, s0m and Ethan), and people don't even know who tf is mada and verno.
Some hardcore fans would know about Verno, but almost no one would know about mada.

Loud was in internal issues.
MiBR was not investing in Val
Furia was changing players mid year.

NRG dropped all the bags buying overpriced players like Demon1, Ethan and Marved.
Still, NRG was just above Loud in Americas.
You "worst off", was literally a failed superteam who for 1 game, wasnt below a Brazilian team falling apart.

This year, MiBR invested, Furia will'nt change mid season, and Loud.... we dont talk about.
You guys are without you superstars, tier 3.

It’s a couple things.

NRG just had its worse year.
Brazil performed quite well at Ascension
Mada and Verno didn’t qualify to Ascension
Retribution Fetish - Loud lost to Optic

The average viewer puts these together and thinks that NRG just lost Demon1 and is building a budget roster with scraps from T2. What they don’t realize because they don’t watch our circuit, is that Mada and Verno were the best talents from T2 that were on teams that let them down — they undoubtably belong in franchising.

Here are their placements in their splits:

Verno | 2023 - 1st | 2024 S1 - 4th | 2024 S2 - 3rd
Mada | 2023 - N/A | 2024 S1 - 5th | 2024 S2 - 1st

All the international scouts are aware of this and it’s why NRG has so much hype going into 2025. They retained their experienced players while solving their role issues; the talent they picked up are also projected to reach extreme highs. The question now is whether everything works out.
