why do people still rate prx? rating them for 2023 makes sense, they had a masters runners up the year before. rating them for 2024 makes sense, they had a champs runner up and a masters top 3 the year before. now all they have is a masters top 3 and they got that with a player that they dropped immediately after.
Coming off of a Grand Final in Champs in 2023, expectations for PRX were always gonna be high. This year was definitely a huge let down and I would personally not have them assertively in rank 1. But I don't feel like PRX is anything below 4th. They got to every international event and placed 2nd, 1st and 3rd across their region. Monyet is a seriously great, flexible player and I really wish he was kept for the 2023 season. His flexibility to play smokes opened up for potential to have better map pools. Admittedly, if I was to pick 1 player who I wanted to play Raze during that Raze-dominant map pool, I would pick Jinggg every time. The downside of Jinggg is he literally plays Raze, Sage and on the odd occasion, Clove. That agent pool sucks since Sage has so much use before teams can anti-strat that. And his Clove looked so lost. Overall, PRX are definitely a bit overrated at the moment, but I see other people acting like PRX is middle-of-the-pack. This tier list looks completely recency-biased and random. SPG are heavily overrated despite their amazing run - they might run into a Jinggg style issue with Dambi playing exclusively Neon. DRX and RRQ being so low is confusing given Kush looks like a solid player and DRX's new roster seems more refreshed. GE feels too high given we have nothing confirmed on their new players.
