is so fake, reminds me of foxy9 hype from early 2023
the only rookie to ever tear it up in t1 from being an "insane player" in t2 japan was something
hyunmin is nowhere near the level of play something was showing in japan
he will disappoint on duelist role and his roles will be switched around for an entire year only for him to be dropped

he is not up with flashback who is probably one of if not the best shooter in korea
buzz is a choker sure but he's also insane when he's not, much better than another mid duelist

Yeah bro u got the point.
In conclusion, if you want to have high expectations of players who have played in Japan at least they must have 700 round played with 290 acs or above like something. But in fact hyunmin does not have these stats, so when he plays in tier 1 it should look like a normal player.

hyunmin dropped 280acs in japan t2 on top of being only 18 so he has time to grow. why are you hating on someone so much. something dropped 305 sure but I watched VCJ both when something played and recently while hyunmin was playing and teams in general looked better now then they did when something played. hyunmin is really good.

#3 said it already, apparently the level of play in Japan is not super high compared to tier 1 pacific so hyunmin is being a bit overhyped by everyone. I just want DRX to do well.

it's definitely not as high of course but dropping 280acs while being 18 and having a lot of time to grow means if he is still dropping 220 and has time to improve (which I think he will) he will be a good pickup in my opinion

Hyunmin 280acs with 300+ round played, meanwhile something 300acs with 700+ round played. There is a big gap

hyunmin: 516 rounds, 279.2 acs average (split1+split2)
something: 739 rounds, 305.0 acs average (split1, longer)

something right after joining prx: 491 rounds, 230acs

I mean even if he drops 70acs he's still at 210 which for a duelist @ 18 in his first season is fine. I also stand by the league has gotten better, I think it might be closer to 50-60 putting him on par with something or closer.

he's not something level but he's really really good still. I haven't seen the hype so I don't know if people are saying he's the next aspas but he still seems really really good especially for being so young

I don't get the hype behind this guy, it's really odd the level of hype he's getting. He's not a Primmie type player, nor is he putting up outstanding numbers like smthlikeyou. People really need to stop hyping up anyone who gets high ACS in T2 Japan. I mean I get, VCJ is the best T2 after all (undebatable)

You have no eyes for talent ngl. Like maybe you're just a hater which you undoubtedly are of drx or you're just too bad at this game to have the capacity to even discern talents from the rest. There's a reason Prx wanted him, there's a reason he got picked up by termi even though he didn't really do much in t2 this year and there's a reason Flashback says that Hyunmin is better than him mechanically.

let's not pretend as if either of us have any reliable metric of determining whether someone has talent or not. the fact is that there's no statistics to say that the hype for hyunmin as the next star in korea is merited.

All the stats and records in Japan are unreliable garbage, no matter who the player is, but trust Termi's eyes. he's made every signing huge success except foxy. It's unfair to take one failure and say he'll fail the next.
