Why are so many Valorant maps just horrifically attack sided? Icebox, Breeze, Lotus, Fracture, Haven, Abyss, Pearl and Bind are heavily attack sided and regularly end in minimum 8-4 halves. Why are the maps so insanely attack sided?
I'd argue it's significantly more frustrating to be in an attack sided situation on defence though. On the attack you dictate the pace, on defence you have to either be aggressive without conceding man advantage or respond to what the attackers do. I honestly prefer attacking on Ascent to defending on any of the maps I listed because at least then I can lurk and heavily play for picks
But ideally every single map should just be Split and Sunset, where it's relatively balanced between both sides
