This grand final had the highest of highs. Kangkang breaking the record for the most kills in any format, the final round of bind. The iconic play of guardian on Abyss by kangkang and Lotus as a whole. I understand fnc vs loud is close but its' the icebox that mattered. So far, there will be no match which will surpass this soon enough.

13-9 was close to watch visually. the only reason EDG closed out those maps was because of huge plays during 11-9 where heretics were favoured. (kk gaurdian eco frag 4k and s1Mon lockdown swing) had these not happened heretics wouldve been favoured to take those maps.
Its not about scores but how the rounds play out, there are many times where you just dont know who will win the round. its much better to watch a 13-9 with insane rounds than a 19-17 but every round has a clear winner.
And the sweeps add more flavour to the viewer. At first you think heretics would sweep EDG as on the their map pick they demolished EDG and the second map is heretics best map so you expect a quick 3-0, but as EDG pull together more and more rounds you start hyping up the possibility of a 13-0 which is ridiculas because you thought EDG would barely get 5 rounds in. and throughout the games there was never a clear winner for the whole series. there is no true favorite. Which made every person who wanted the other team to win seem valid and possible letting everyone feel hyped every single round thay went on.
If we're talking about the best Champions grand final, it definitely is. But if we're talking about the best grand final including other International events, FNC vs LOUD in LOCK/IN was the best without a doubt: OT, comebacks, potential reverse sweeps, pressure, rounds that had you on the edge of your seat, everything was just so good. What made it even better is that FNC won in front of a crowd booing them lol
Every few months I go back and watch that icebox, it makes me excited everytime derke wins the 1v1 against aspas, everytime I see the alfa 1v2 clutch, everytime I see the last second plant where chronicle had the plant bug and finally everytime seeing derke get the collat with the op in OT.
Nothing can beat my reaction watching it live though, I was up until like 5 am and they were 3-11 down and I felt like I stayed up for nothing
For me SPG vs BOOM is the best grand finals ever. if we talking about skill wise, they arent close to master or champions level. But the series itself is absolut cinema to watch. the story, the plot, every clutch for both team create best memories. a lot comeback happened. BOOM coming from "getting 3-0ed" to "1 round away from winning". SPG desire to win the series made them clutching important round in OT.
