But it doesn't really matter what's going on in eu, there are 2-4 potential spots for international tournaments and they've been farming this region since 2022. At international tournaments if they lose once they're basically finished, boaster is not the guy for lower bracket runs. So trying to sell derke to an american org is much worse. Imagine G2 with derke and not i*y.
Bro vitality wasn’t bad with him off duelist and he played better when he was off duelist.
They played bad because they had major inconsistency issues at first, they were beating good teams but losing to shit ones. You forget that they only added trexx mid season. Sayf on duelist might have been a good short term solution, but I think the bigger impact on their mid season form switch was the practice they put in following stage 1, since they didn’t have as much before stage 1 having to practice with different players who played different agents.
Also I’m not talking about a super team or anything, also vitality is not looking to change 1 player, they’re looking to change 2.
They played with Trexx and Sayf off duelist for the entirety of Split 1... Which was not a good Split whatsoever. They beat Heretics at their worst (who even lost to BBL). The only actual "good team" they managed to beat was FUT. I dont necessarily think Sayf is bad off Duelist, hes gonna frag either way but I just dont think Vitality adding another good duelist is gonna improve them that much... Firepower is just straight up not the Issue they need to adress.
you cant compare the best 3 players of vitality and compare 2 of the best and their IGL of NRG who isnt that good mechanically just to make your point lmao. s0m was one of if not the best controller player of 2023. Ethan is one of the best supportive flashes init in the world and Verno is one of the best up and coming rookies in the world. You are also forgetting if Derke was to go to VIT sayf would be off the duelist role and be back on sentinel which he didnt have that much success on lmao

NA and EU are not comparable, in EU you have 1 team thats dominated the region since the first val international in iceland.
(expection being this year where fnatic fell off and TH and VIT/KC stepped up)
In NA you have legit 5-6 teams like SEN, LOUD, OPTIC, NRG, KRU etc etc being competitive every year. Like u can never know who will be dominating the year. Its unpredictable.
In EU u just know its fnatic and they dont want to make it harder for themselves regionally is my point

ig he was interested in Vit because they were willing to pay the most and he prob liked the players but NRG is richer so obv they can bid more and the players in NRG also very good and i think Derke would like to experience smth new bcs he played almost exclusively in emea and a new region would be smth new, like one of the reasons Saadhak is goin to KC
