I think Americas could form at least 5 Superteams, strong enough to be international trophy contenders if they just consolidated their players a bit better. Did I cook?

s0m = greatest controller of 2023/2025
Ethan = world champion and best flex player in history

just these three players alone is enough to be considered a superteam

I’m super anti G2 oxy
I just don’t think his play style complements G2’s identity
+plus Cryo is still really good

Why would G2 change their playstyle, they made it to 3rd at Shanghai and playoff at champs because of its.

Derke is much better fit as he’s disciplined and able to frag when needed (though this would not fit this post’s point)

Jawg is still better fit than OXY for this team imo

I agree with you on the derke pick, but I think the way they play the game derke won’t get as much value imo.

Also in their game vs fnatic you could see clear weaknesses that fnatic abused especially on haven, mid was so free and G2 could not adapt to it whatsoever, same with vs EDG map 1

G2’s playstyle with Tex was a good bit more explosive than it is now with icy. Their current weakness is actually their inability to explosively punish people disrespecting their space with instant re-clears — something that Oxy would help with immensely. I’d argue that while Derke would be more seemless, Oxy would make them more balanced and their structure would temper him into a world class duelist like Zekken.

Also, this was a list to showcase Americas talent. JohnQT was the only import exception because he was literally forged in NA tier 2 for the past 3.5 years.

If all the teams in the top half are competitive with each other regionally, would that mean that’s just the new bar? I thought a superteam had to be a cut above the competition.

Yeah it would create a segmentation within the league between the mediocre and elite teams but I don’t think that disqualifies these rosters from the moniker of “superteam.” Throw any one of these single rosters into the current scene and they could take a trophy with 3+ star fraggers and extremely balanced roles. The only team I’d be worried about would be NRG with FNS but Mada, Ethan, and s0m are so good that I think it’d work.

aspas doesn't have any problems with the LOUD players, he has them with the LOUD organization, which made several promises after Champions 2022 and didn't fulfill them
