Tale of two teams

I am sure everyone here admits that CS and Valorant are in a league of their own when it comes to FPS scenes, however for next year both scenes took vastly different approaches
30+ S-tier events for cs vs 3 S-tier events for valorant. Open circuit based on power rankings vs closed league with only 8 free slots. One has a bookie problem, the other has orgs dropping from tier 2. One has tier 1 teams not really wanting to deal with their closed partnerships ending, the other has tier 1 teams still saving money despite riot giving them injections.
I am sure we won't see any of the games dying next year, but I am sure it would be fun to see one compared to the other

cs dies on 10th event of the year, valorant dies to orgs dropping, both playerbases go to deadlock

I didn't get deadlock, but it just looks too raw to me, ngl, like valorant but on crack

i think the way the continental leagues are set up they're just too stale to justify continued investment by any tier2 org and also discourages tier1 orgs from investing

I don't even see the problem with the format, there is nothing stopping an org from saving money, e.g. c9, eg, mibr.

it's stale,
koi and giantx for example were the two teams with the worst records in eu,
any repercussions?

no, they will play there again next year, when a singular team will go down to tier2, these two teams will certainly have an incentive to make some changes and not be down there again

the problem is in that singular spot, teams like dsyre, pcfc, mouz, etc from tier2 will have to fight for a singular spot to go up,
is investing really worth the risk of not making it for them?

and besides koi and giantx, other teams from eu like liquid, navi and bbl have absolutely no reason to fear they will be THE worst team next year and have no real imminent relegation treath that would keep them on their toes in normal sports

this is on top of the fact the prize pools aren't that high

and that's why I am curious to see the marathon CS calendar is. 16 events in half a year, you need to be the top of your region to qualify to the major

Take the gamble money away from CS the game dies within a year.

except there is no reason to take away that money? and then you still have prize pools from 30 events, major stickers, I am sure valve couldn't miss such an opportunity and would release some bundles as well. Just funny how you say this but valve haven't even done 1% of the content riot did with bundles, it's just stickers bringing more money than riot's bundles

"there is no reason to take away that money?"

Are you sure about that?

Valve is okay with a bunch of minors being exposed to gambling with all that shit to lose money in CS and they can get addicted as fuck to that kind of shit, do i need to remember you that monesy was already an ambassador of a gambling site while being a minor?

There is a lot of difference between a bundle that you know what you get and CS lootboxes there is always that feeling that i can buy one more case and i will open a knife.

Exposing children to gambling is low as fuck i hate this shit, CS will never bear good fruits because of this.

Also you have no ideia how this type of gambling is destroying my country, even adults of the age of 30-40 are getting addicted to this type of shit and losing everything they have, imagine introducing this to a minor what could go wrong?

What can cause this system to go backwards? Football is built on oil money, in ufc you beat up people, NFL gives players brain damage, f1 is sponsored by oil companies and dictatorships, tough shit. I have understood that gambling is for retards ever since I was 5 when I wasted a pair of dimes on those toy machines where you need to grab the plushie using the claw. After I understood it was rigged I never gambled in my life. It took 1 time for a 5 year old to understand it was bad. If these kids gamble away their money right now on skins, they could have been the same type of people who put homes on mortgages to play some casino

You are not everyone, imagine those "kpop" fans of sentinels on twitter all of sudden sentinels has a gambling site and their GOAT tenz is advertising that on his stream, do you really think they will not get any of those fans to join this shit?

As i said before if adults in my country are losing money with the stupidest gambling scams on the internet imagine what a child could lose with this.

If they are that retarded they WILL find a way to waste this money. Is it unethical to have children waste money on gambling? Yes, never arguing that. Were they autistic enough not to understand that the house always wins? Yes.

your russians friends on CS are so addicted to gambling that i see them malding when they lose a bet in tier 2 CS BR, this is so crazy to see but it happens all the time when a BR team lose there are a bunch of russians malding on BR orgs social media because of this, the gambling problem in CS is really serious.
