How little do you eat to stay skinny? I'm cutting weight and I'm having to eat like a 12 y/o girl to lose anything, it's fucked. I'm at around 1000kcal.
Problem is the "healthy range" is still fat. I read your other comments and I wish I was lying about being able to only lose weight at around 1000kcal, these 1800-2000kcal diets you mentioned are for average height and taller people. When you're short your intake is cooked (unless you're gifted with a fast metabolism).
to be fair I also had a slower metabolism, but getting into sports at an early age and continuing a routine of cardio & basic weight lifting definitely benefitted me in the long run. you probably just need to keep a system going to see more consistent results rather than constantly cutting. maybe investing into a more 'asian' diet could help you more?
rice, fish, lots of vegetables n the like. ig a Mediterranean diet also works in this context but Asian shit is just what i grew up with so it's easier for me to use that as an example. you don't wanna fill yourself up on sugars and sodium obviously, and consuming meat with a low fat content is also a plus for your overall muscle gains
that is NOT how it works i promise YOU i am a med student all you are doing is starving yourself and that is telling your body to conserve the fat u are trying to lose eat 1800ish calories a day have a decent workout routine do it consistently and you WILL lose this has nothing to do with metabolism it is giving ur body energy to exist 1800 is what you burn daily while sitting on your ass please stop being dense man

and could you please lead me to whatever source that made you think that 1000cals is enough u are within the healthy range and if u are a teenager dont worry about losing weight ur body is growing and needs all the extra fat calories and activity it can geteven if u are older u will grow until 21:)**

I don't want to discredit your knowledge but I'm not really doing anything other people have never done before to lost weight. Some people take it further and just fast for a week or something. I mentioned before that even if I am at a healthy range by medical standards I am still fat, the range is kind of big.
those people are DUMB what you are doing is called starvation which kicks your body into survival mode and trys its best to maintain all the fat it has for as long as possible the people telling you this are wrong and dumb

I just did that calculator and it even agrees with me, it estimates 1300kcal for moderate (0.5kg/week) weight loss and 800kcal or less for 1kg/week. This sounds about right for my results so far. 21, 165cm, 60kg.
Like I said, when you're short your room for intake is a lot lower than people realise. These medical standards were designed for men of average/taller height which is why I don't get results when I follow them.
no they weren't given the calculations u put in and remember what i said about the exterme opition that will cause severe health issues its really only there for 100kg+ people with ur height calculate your(basal metabolic rate) BMR it is 1500cals with moderate workouts it is 1700-1900 which i have been saying for like 15 comments let me repeat THE EXTERME OPITIONS IS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE 100+ KG WITH UR HEIGHT DON"T WORRY ABOUT IT FOR FUCKS SAKE
moderate excerise for example is going for a brisk walk for like 30 minutes or a hour or going for a walk for any amount of time 4-5 times a week
I understand what you're saying, but what is the point if I workout to burn an extra 200-300kcal just to eat it again? I can just lower the food. Even if I increase my intake and agree that 1000kcal is too low, 1300kcal is still within the healthy range for moderate weight loss (for someone with my stats), I don't need to be at 1700kcal.

this site is basically 100% men where did u get the info that 1000 calories loses u weight cause i just did a calculation for someone who is 160cm 100kg and with light to medium excerise for Extreme weight loss which isn't something u should go for it is about 1800~ish so what u are doing right now is starving ur self which will tell ur body that it should conserve fat instead of burning causing a FUCK TON of issues so please throw away what ever source u got and go to a doctor and ask them about and just as a baseline 1800 or more calories with decent excerise is way more than enough to lose weight and again go to a doctor it could be another issue causing this from this borderline eating disorder u might develop from this
only sane reply on this thread. idk why people don’t understand that weight loss isn’t some magic thing they don’t understand, just be more active and eat at your bmr and you will lose weight. starving yourself, doing some weird fast routine, water fasting etc are all just gimmicks. doesn’t matter if you only eat while it’s raining or during certain hours, your body doesn’t know. just feed it enough so you can have energy to live a normal life.
this guys 55kg looking to burn more weight. if you’re under 20 yo just eat as much as you can in order to grow, otherwise you’re gonna be stuck being a manlet your whole life
1800-2000cals is good base line for losing weight idk where u got the 1000 calorie thing from that is straight up wrong and go to the hospital please cause u might have caused ur self a buncha of problems and with decent activity and 1800-2000 calories with consistency is more than enough please go to a doctor because whatever made u think 1000 cals might have cause problems and weight lose isn't easy or fast its a process so don't get upset when u don't get immediate and expected results cause bodyweight fluxates and remove weight tracking from ur life forever if u stay consistent u will be healthy and that is all that matters regular check ups help a ton too

it depends on the person and how fast your basic metabolic rate is. I'm 5'4" and always teetered between 45-48 kg so I'm pretty lucky. cardio and a lean diet is prolly your best bet but no one here's a fitness trainer so just find what works for you
