I recently got into CSGO eSports. Obviously, Valorant is way more entertaining but CSGO also looks quite fun to watch.

Anyways, which teams seem to be top tier this year? From the little I've seen, I'd guess NAVI, VIT, Team Spirit and FaZe.

As for players? Who are well known top tier players?
Does CSGO have a Faker equivalent

yea it doesnt happen nearly as much in cs,starladder is the only TO thats notorious for having shit production and they havent been a thing in like 5 years but it happens in valorant all the time even in tier 1

As someone who comes from Overwatch (game is dogsht now), Valorant abilities are incredibly easy to follow. More happening makes Val more entertaining to me but both are good.

really depends on your background, if you come from some MOBA or hero shooter, then it is easy, if it's some R6s or CS, which has a more realistic setting, then it can get hard

r6s has so much util too tho. one second i'm holding an angle the next i'm being rushed by a blitz, flashed by ying and tracked by Jackal. its alot too its just the visuals are not as overwhelming.

This being my first year watching CSGO, NRG is quite sht... As for Wildcard, they ain't bad but nowhere near best itw. At least not this year.

The faker equivalent would be s1mple however he took a break sometime last year after the game transitioned to cs2 to sort his personal ish (he’s Ukrainian). He did comeback earlier this year as a stand-in for falcons on loan from Navi in an online tourney but they got insta knocked out and since then he’s just living life I guess… still signed to Navi so it’d take a lot of mulla to buy him out of his contract and he probably hasn’t played a lot of the game

I’d add MOUZ, G2 to your top tier teams list though mouz have a tendency to choke after group stages (very young team) and g2 had an igl who couldn’t frag to the standard level for igls and they sacrificed firepower with jks for a vibes guy and friend of the squad in nexa however they have since brought in snax as the new igl and malbs who’s a fragger

Well known: there’s a tonne highlight and clip montages from tourneys are the best ways to identify them but in no particular order they include:

Shiro, monesy, zywoo, niko, twistzz, frozen, ropz, donk, xertion, jimmphat, b1t, broky, spinx, electronic, device, elige etc

Top Tier teams (title contenders): navi, g2, faze, spirit, mouz, vitality (in no particular order), with liquid, astralis possibly getting one sneaky win if stars allign
Top Tier players: plenty of known tier 1 talent, but top 1 contenders are zywoo, donk, monesy
Faker = s1mple.
Also btw, what makes valorant more entertaining, just curious

Damn, wish I came in time to watch s1mple play. Hopefully in the future.
I agree about donk though, he's looking quite good from the little I've seen.

Valorant has more going on which is something I enjoy more. The difference abilities, character. Feels more unique.
I guess I'm also the type of person who doesn't really enjoy realistic graphics.

I would say that if you combine m0nesy's insane crisp highlights where he gets 4k solo site holds and sh1ro's automatic nature of getting simple kills you get s1mple. Just the best of consistency and highlights
