The problem with ascension

Dumbass structure essentially forces orgs to fold if they aren't the one team to ascend. For example, OXG will 100% get their roster picked apart this offseason, leading to a forced rebuild, and knowing what tier 2 expenses look like, who knows if the org will even want to commit to that. Potentially one less team in tier 2. The cycle will continue, as any teams that don't win ascension but have players that will get poached will eventually be forced to rebuild or leave challengers. Guarantee the same thing will happen with m80 if they lose ascension, it's honestly a shitshow. Only a couple years from now the tier 2 scene will just be premier players playing for free, and the viewership/sponsors/etc. will be nonexistent.

well that's what happens with franchising. Same shit happened with NA CS, EPL closed out for big teams only, those who didn't make it fold and then 0 tier 2 talent

If in a particular year the previous year's ascension winners do well, you get jackshit for winning ascension this year

One of the many flaws with Ascesion. I have a feeling that there is going to be a huge re work prob in 2025. Don’t know what they can change though.
