What’s the reasoning for Champs Seoul 2024 as S tier ? I don’t think the games are bad in no way, but the production is lacking for the « studio » (Leo even a knowledged it) part and the hype is almost not here imo it could be A but not S

By far the most competitive event we've ever seen. Players have said that the crowd is great in the INSPIRE Arena and it should have been used. FNC didn't reach the Top 4 and Leo didn't even play so I don't know how he can say that.

just because a tournament is unpredictable doesnt make it S tier. just because i say its not S tier doesn't mean I think its shit though. I think Champs 24 probably places around the B tier for me. Like its a good tournament and i've enjoyed my time watching it, but in the grand scheme of things i have to think "will people remember this tournament for years to come and was it that significant"... no?

I've missed you sentinelmain377. I was going to put Masters Copenhagen higher but I remembered you and your NAVI flair exist. Also, which Berlin are you talking about? Both were honestly terrible because of 8 team single elimination format. At least LOCK//IN had every team.

im actually not biased when I say Copenhagen was S. it is so annoying that the team I have a flair for won it cuz now it looks like im just biased:

Copenhagen had so many upsets, 30 insane moments/clutches, FPX lower bracket run, PRX in finals (first Asian team), overhyped FNATIC

it was an S tier tournament and for u to put it that low just shows that ur either biased or didnt watch it

Trace and EDG were the only upsets, and that's about it (not to the people who actually watched china). Most playoffs matches were predictable

Easy to say in hindsight. Nobody expected DRX to be first seed in Group A, nobody expected GEN to be out in Group B, nobody expected TE to be first seed in Group C, nobody expected PRX to be out in Group D. Because of how unpredictable the group stage was, everybody was making wild guesses on how the playoffs would go.

I said playoffs matches, but group stage was interesting. DRX was a surprise but not an upset, and I think that PRX out of groups was really obvious, they've been poo since Shanghai. And GEN wasn't that surprising since they were on the group of death, and most groups of death are a flipcoin

I feel like playoffs was still unpredictable. People started speculating TE to be shocking again but they flunked out. G2 were heavy favorites to go far but they also went out quick. Nobody expected EDG to be in the Grand Final, let alone do it as the upper seed. Also, the Grand Final hasn't even been played yet and who knows what will happen there.

Champs 2023, Champs 2022
and lock in HAS to be S tier,

We had the best grandfinal and story at lockin with boast and derke
Champs 2023 had the BEST underdog story in all of esports with eg winning ON THEIR HOME TURF
And champs 2022 had some the most banger matches we have ever seen still to this day
and first brazillian/south american team winning something (AND OPTIC V LOUD RIVALRY)
