I think it's pointless and a waste of time. It only helps a bit with mouse control, which you can achieve just by playing the game.
Aim trainers:
help the bottom 1% learn basics and the top 1% find edges over their opponents
help hit shit like flying razes, dashing jetts, people jumpspotting or jiggling, snap to util and go back to your original crosshair placement
improve your confidence as a player
can help target specific wekanesses
build awareness and focus for the game
when combined with deathmatch guarantee mechanical imporvement at a pretty steady rate
I don't get the hate or people jsut saying: "have expereince", like? not everyone started in fps and not everyon has been gaming for multiple hours a day their whole life. let people live and let them improve
i have fun playing kovaaks - voltaic benchmarks w music is one of the few things i still find fun on pc
also they help a lot more for certain games that are much more aim dominant i.e apex, i basically only play random fps games now like titanfall 2, old cods, battlefield, apex, ow and random roblox shooters lol - where aim is more important, i wouldnt say they improve u massively but they are fun imo
IDK as a former (now washed) radiant, honestly I never found them to be useful. I understand that some people have found success in using them, but whenever I tried to it would always just throw me off, mainly just cuz its hard to simulate in game val movement outside of the game. Like I can create and practice much more realistic val scenarios while making myself more accustomed to the niches of each weapon and movement patterns, while in aimlabs, its just like stationary clicking that feels hard to apply in game. That's just my two cents tho
I can understand using kovaak's/etc as aim training and I don't think it's a complete waste of time but those that make it their sole personality are insufferable. I'm talking about those that consider themselves part of the "aim community" and treat their kovaak's leaderboard position like social status
Specifically whenever I think of kovaak's aim training I think of the "i'll see you in dallas" kid
