they are such a good team and honestly from what i have seen there the only team who can do dmg at internationals but idk about billibilli or trace tbf do china have a chance out of any group
and if so can that team do dmg l know group A and C are the easiest so trace and billi can make it but can they do anything else EDG have the choking group so it might be possible for them but FPX is so good sucks it has to be like this for em

it's possible for FPX, especially if TH and SEN aren't in their complete form.
blg gotta upset either FNATIC or DRX so their chances are grim
Trace has the best shot realistically, since on an individual basis they can tussle with everyone outside of LEV, the only thing that worries me is their game(s) against vitality, not to mention how Talon are actually fundamentally solid so that's not a free win either
EDG are entirely an unknown quality cuz their coach changes could very well either help them or not change shit with their international performance

EDG dont have coach change, After is still their head coach he was just in taiwan taking a break, I believe that for champs he will be back again. The igl change is big, S1mon is an ok fragger middle of the pack kinda guy with good utility, nobodys igl is shaky rn but in the right direction overall a huge upgrade from when haodong was playing. It all depends on how prepped edg is.

AfteR's contract has been deleted from VCT Database and he's no longer their coach on Liquipedia

are we sure that he's not removed?

This is spot on. I'll add that if FPX improved their mistakes from Shanghai they would legit be in contention to win champs. That might sound crazy but they had TH and GENG dead to rights in map 3 of each game, but their inexperience and poor defense led to thrown rounds.

If they could get out the death group they could be a dark horse to go quite far, but that's a slim chance because instead of improving they've looked worse post-Shanghai.

FPX are confusing because they obviously didn't really care about winning after split 1--choosing to dry run experimental comps and seeing what stuck. At the same time though they kept making really stupid mistakes, throwing man advantages, and not really seeming to actually LEARN from their games deep down.

I wouldn't say they look 'worse' but instead kinda uninspired. This FPX has always been there but now the novelty is wearing off because they haven't had another 'eureka!' moment so far. Maybe this'll change in champs, but as of now they're "strong" but not "great"

FPX didn’t look good in stage 2 compared to stage 1 but i’m assuming they were saving strats since they know they’re better than everyone else but edg when it comes to bo5
