Eliot Machuca Amaro will return to the in-game leader role.
Klaus has represented KRÜ Esports since 2021 and is one of the few Americas players to remain on the same org since the beginning of the VCT. He was also IGL for six of the eight international events the team participated in. Melser took up the role in 2023, but Klaus eventually returned as IGL due to the impact on Melser's performance.
Head coach Jorge "Atom" Siero confirmed in the past that the team always intended to find a spot for mta in their lineup. His injury meant roster changes were needed prior to Stage 1. heat joined as mta's replacement and Klaus became their in-game leader, both changes helping the team finish the group stage with a 5-1 record. They were not as successful in playoffs, losing both of their matches and finishing outside the top-three.
According to Atom, the team “began a slow decline in their quality of play [and] lost the strength and rhythm that kept them within their standards.” He also acknowledges the bad timing of the change, and emphasizes that the issues within the team were not due to a single player.
