All they need rn is a win against TS this week to secure a champs slot.
Wouldnt make sense for them to throw in playoffs and focus on champs ? ( two extra weeks of prep)

Personally I think it does.
Most regions have a very strong top 2.
The tradeoff for having 2 weeks extra prep in return for a harder path isnt worth it.
If it was swiss I wouldnt mind because there is more room for error, but champs is gsl.

Although a bad comparison, at last champs none of the lowest seeds made it out of groups.

How does beating TS secure champs? They’d have 15 points, and it’s still possible for PRX to get 4th place in playoffs with 16 points.

it will be hilarious for geng to lose in their upper match and drx bombs out as 4th, thus geng making champs with points and drx qualifying for non of the events this year
