not location, the venue
last year champs was in 17k capacity kia forum
masters shanghai was in mb arena 18k capacity
vct pacific has 5k capacity

i went to champs 2023 only the final 4 was in the kia forum i believe. the early stages of champs 2023 was at the shrine auditorium which is like a 5k capacity venue.

yeah 15k capacity arena i believe idk when it comes into play like top 4 or at the start of playoffs but i hope we get to see more games in it then just 4

It makes sense? Riot already has an arena in Seoul might as well use it, the top 4 will be somewhere diff so it adds a higher reward for making top 4

its just lame tho especially for pacific teams you work so hard just to play at the same arena youve been playing at unless you make top 4 i could understand group stage but its so lame to not have all of playoffs in a arena

plus there's just 0 zero hype in those venues. Shanghai really didn't feel like a major until the very end (and even at the end they weren't very loud cause of geng).Tokyo hype + crowd was peak

riot had severe trouble renting the venue so vct pacific venue was a bitten bullet
plus they couldnt rent a big venue for top 4 in seoul so they had to stick with inspire arena, which is 2 hours away
