The roles I think end up working out pretty well, each player is comfortable on their agents.

I stuck with somewhat meta comps, but I'd also like to see some experimentation maybe, especially considering they could be gearing for a 2025 run instead of focusing on the now.

harbor was only meta on haven because of viper-harbor swamp comp, do you think that's still viable with both viper and skye nerfs since then? i personally think breach comps are going to work better now

if so then vic jett, ethan skye, fns kj, crashies viper, s0m harbor?

viper is still very strong on haven. TBH viper on haven defense is almost entirely unchanged by the nerfs. on atk you just have to be more conservative with orb.

probably vic neon, ethan gekko, fns viper, s0m harbor, crashies sova.

Teams have started playing more breach and viper-less comps and I watch sliggy so that’s why I think the viper comp is not good, he pretty much explains to his chat how to completely counter it

The reason why teams won’t adapt to it is because they don’t want to change the comp they’ve been working on all year

i watch s0m so that's why i think he's a cutie patootie and i'm extremely jealous of katiewon for unrelated reasons
anyway viper is still goated for offense info denial on A and the actual adjustment teams need to start making is throwing the B-C wall on defense instead of the B-A wall, which is just Not Very Good anymore

the real issue with viper is on haven, where she can't stall out on C effectively anymore unless cypher loans her a cage or trip on site, and 30% of her attack wall's purpose, which is to act as a smoke for the B hit, is severely weakened

Viper harbor was already heading out of the meta and viper wasn’t even technically “meta” on haven a lot of Americas teams were running a niche comp just like ascent

The viper nerf just makes it where you can’t force her in niche picks (ascent, haven, sunset) and the only other map in the map pool people may stray away from viper on is lotus

The method of taking A main control with viper is so outdated and easy to counter with an Odin in tree or simple rubble control, you can’t pick up your orb anymore so a viper can’t throw it a main and pick it up to put it on the spike anymore, people are probably just gonna have to stick to a c or b choke point smoke lineup or just saving it for the bomb and having one less smoke

Why would we put crashies on anything other than sova on haven, and if Vic is duelist on Haven, then surely we're having him play neon no?

someone else called my haven comp ancient - neon hasn’t been played on haven since early 2022 iirc. at least raze fade was popular until just before chamber meta ended.

i would love to see them experiment though. i do agree that the raze comp was a bit of a stretch, neon would be interesting.

your haven comp is ancient and not in line with duelist meta or haven meta lol there is no reason to play any agent on haven whose name does not start with j and end with ett
awping is simply too strong on haven and the jett entries on that map are much better than raze's on literally 3 out of 3 bomb sites
neon is only in the conversation because of the buffs which are honestly just overrated, every one of those buffs was desperately needed to allow neon to do anything more than tread water, meta-wise, outside of the full accuracy slide, which is just silly and not that strong since you have to stop shooting once you enter the post-slide strafe otherwise you're inaccurate again
jett is still without a doubt the way to go on haven regardless

i do agree that jett is still extremely strong on haven, but the question is is it worth putting Vic on Jett, an agent that he's not the most comfortable on (playable still ofc), over a slightly more off-meta, but more comfortable agent? I dont think jett is necessary to the point like ascent where it will have a 95+% pick rate.
