Yea I mostly agree with this. The problem is that Shanghai is creating these storylines not continuing them like the dominance of geng is one I can think of. Hopefully champs will combine a lot of the Sen Nrg and new storylines from Shanghai.

GenG: Finally going to win APAC a trophy or continue choking? Also the previous runner up to the last tournament
G2: The ascension team of NA, they seek to prove that they belong in tier 1. They also choked the last time they were in an international in 2022 and are redeeming themselves for that
TH: Heretics has the same storyline of PRX at Tokyo (classic rito recycling scripts). Making a very deep run with a sub after their star duelist unfortunately missed the tournament, and moving their god flex player to duelist proving everyone wrong

honestly, not a big fan of sentinels but masters hasnt been the same since 2021 reykjavik. they just lack soul tbf

GenG going on a fucking run in front of a Chinese crowd that is biased against them and for APAC to get their first trophy after GenG choked in their previous finals is a story in my book
