yes that is always how it was supposed to be, so that the final result will just be as if everyone played in one big round robin group

Been trying to tell people this for a while, people thought some of those games didn't matter. It's not 2 splits, it's 1 with a Masters in between. Being done for the year by May is crazy ngl

Or like. If Furia do sign Xand and Pancada, and the team miraculously works and wins against both LEV and LOUD (it ain't happening) would they even be able to qualify for champions????
At least they have a couple months to test out whatever roster changes they want, on high-level LAN scrims.
I think it would be really funny if these Brazilian teams played a different 5th man - or even 4th - every week in Split 2

idk why you guys are mad, this means any team that randomly wakes up in split 2 doesnt go to champs, and instead its the the more consistent teams. You can't have a fairytale LCQ run that gets destroyed in champs anymore, the teams will be the ones more qualified for it. At least thats what im getting from it
yeah but its just unfair considering why should split 1 affect split 2 in anyway and whats the point of having 2 splits if your records continue to the next split
no its not, its unfair if hypothetically a team does well but just misses out the qualifications of madrid and shanghai and then looses the qualification for champs to a different team that was 0-5 for both madrid and shanghai who suddenly decided to wake up. If split 2 works the way you want it to, then its just a glorified LCQ and LCQ sucks because teams that get through always get bodied, and the issue with certain teams not playing to their usual form (C9 and Lev last year) and certain teams playing above their level for a short period of time (Kru).
