CLOVE vs OMEN ??

I have seen many streamer going on about how clove is OP and might replace omen on certain maps, but I think omen will still dominate cause:-

• Omen's TP's allows for advantageous positions(especially vertically) and are great for getting out of sticky situations. Clove has haste but still needs to get a kill/assist for it and you can still get shot and overheal is temporary.
• Omen's TP is better for team play like lotus defence A push, or attack C take (which Zekken and TENZ did a lot), Cloves pick-me-up requires a dead body
• Nearsight covers larger area can go through walls whereas cloves meddle needs lineups and has a timer so not great for long line ups. Also personally i think a blind is better than a invulnerable because you can still get one tapped from invulnerable enemy.
  (I know you can combo it with raze nade, but unlike fade tether there is no movement debuff so it is easy to get out of unless timed perfectly.)
• Both ults don't seem that great for team play, but still omen ult allows for quick reposition, whereas with Clove you need to still hunt for a kill after revive.

Clove's greatest advantage is their ability to smoke while dead, but most controller player anyways try their best to stay alive as long as possible.

Edit: Also Omen got global smokes compared to cloves restricted one

All in all i think clove is gonna be popular for ranked like Reyna, but pro play i am not sure

I think clove vs brim is a better comparison because of the smoke restriction. Brim is more team play focused, clove is more solo/aggro play. Omen and astra is kind of same thing where both have global (or near global) smokes but omen can be used for more aggressive plays than astra typically. Clove has best chance at replacing brim on brim maps like bind or other two controller maps potentially.

i think she'll be a healthy substitute for omen in ranked because spamming omen in ranked gets really repetitive

its good for those players who like to go aggressive but also play for the team.

OMEN waay too better, maybe u should compare clove with Brim

Clove will not replace any controller at top level imo.
No team-based util besides the 1 decay nade, and picking them over omen/brim loses the omen blind or brim molly and ult which are hella strong
ppl are saying clove will replace brim but you have to think about the maps brim is played on, brim on bind still too good bc of delay w/ molly and ult and just how many good brim ults there are on bind
omen blind and tp potential still stronger + no smoke range restriction

the only way i can see clove being picked is as a 3rd controller 💀💀💀 but nobody will do that tbh

Clove is too op with that smoke after death thing lets say you are in 1v1 and your friends smokes for you

being able to rush as a controller without worrying about dying is something else
its a mix of a solo sage revive/reyna heal but faster/brim smoke but better/fade decay
she could definely play as a 2nd controller, imagine demon1 with her lol

As someone who plays omen a fair bit, he’s gonna be useful for a while yet. The key part of that is the paranoia, it’s just so so strong. Sure the tps are useful, and the smokes are good and allow for some sick one ways, but the flash is really what makes him so good in team play.

Omens smoke range is so good, i played Clove and i was shocked at how small the range was

clove post death smoke is meta breaking

they will literally clear so many post plant situations and it’ll feel miserable to play against

clove is gonna suck in pro play -- their q doesn't have much range to get comboed with any other util & their c is literally just a worse reyna heal. that said they'll be nuts in ranked even (if not especially) for smokes mains
