bro. since the favorites (NRG in AME, FNC and NAVI in EMEA, DRX in PAC) dont make it to madrid, its a mickey mouse tournament??? I ageree with lock//in but like calling MADRID a mickey mouse tournament considering there were ONLY 2 SPOTS is crazy to me.

I respect your opinion, but at the same time, think about teams like GEN.G And SEN who beat so many hard teams to get here. Think about them. Think if you are someone at the INTL level, so happy that you have qualifed, and then u hear people saying "oh it doesnt even matter that you qualifed for this event because its a mickey mouse tourney."
At least the #1 team from every region right now is there. Maybe not the #2 team because they could've been eliminated by the #1 team in kickoff playoffs but having the single best team from every region is at least something.
edit: I totally agree that the format was stupid and rito needs to improve their planning but at least there's a little bit of optimism left ^-^
I think the problem is that some teams are generally great and without anti strats or practice they would crush every other team (like kickoff group stage), and other teams are great anti strat teams that can crush every team with enough practice (kickoff playoffs). For me personally the anti strat part is more important so I think losing in playoffs makes the team worse although the other team lost in the group stage already. But that's my personal opinion, I understand what you're saying too.

nrg looked good, i think they are going to be great but chet looks a bit stucked, he didn't cooked anything, but also they had no igl, Ethan is going to improve a lot in that
but FNC and NaVi didn't innovate at all, both got easy cooked by fresh players with new playstyle

this is insanity and its taking a lot of the hard work of the teams who succeeded to qualify for this event, people can say what they want about this tourney and can repeat what FNS says that Madrid doesnt matter, these orgs had ton of time in the off season to lock in their roasters and innovate and i mean by that (Navi,FNC,NRG) its their fault they didn't qualify and its defiantly a sign of hard work for these teams who qualified for MADRID and you cant take it from them, I see people typing shit like (omg the quality of valorant is mid on this event surely its a fraudulent tourney)
if you cant handle your lost because you didnt prepared for kickoff or madrid just appreciate the hard work of other Teams and the time they put in to reach such a competitive Tourney (Madrid) and am calling it competitive because its 2 slot from each region, Boaster,Chet,Ethan,Tex (as i see their posts on Twitter) can cry over it but its their mistakes to not prepare while they had the time to be the best on their regions and am sure that orgs like NRG,LEV,FNC will be the talks of this site on shanghai because they have the potential to be the best, just suck the lose and prepare for shanghai and at least give credits to the teams who qualified and competed at the event.
this is my take and am happy and open for any discussion no hate on any org but this is how I see it.
