Can anyone point me to a team that was doing incredibly well in scrims and managed to also do well on tournaments? like actually well?
cuz everytime we see a team going insane on scrims they crash and burn on actual matches
hell, LOUD always loses scrims and their one of the most consistent teams in the scene

It seems like they actually play scrims correctly or some shit, who cares tho they still suck at live matches

Scrims are kinda like off season matches in that way. Really the one winning scrim just wants to win more and that's the most it will tell you

I swear bruh yall think scrims mean anything. a Team could litearlly be practicing new strats or some teams even practice eco rounds the whole game. SCRIMS MEAN NOTHING TO US OUTSIDE PEOPLE. unless a pro says someone is doing well in scrim just dont take scrims seriours scorelines at all lol.

Also teams usually go into scrims with a specific focus, for example improving comms, or limit testing certain setups. What actually matters is how those specific things go, which are not at all reflected in the scorelines and completely invisible to us.

It doesn't matter how many scrims you play. If your average Tracker Score is 400 in Immortal 3/Radiant then you are always a liability to your team.

the reality that a lot of people seem to miss is scrims don't = how well teams actually perform, the purpose is for trying new stuff, seeing what works, etc.

i mean, for example lets say prx run a 5 duelist comp is scrim against a t2 team and go 13-10 and the t2 team wins, the context matters a lot there doesn't it
