throw away whatever goofy bias you have for a sec or admit that you're regarded, do you think this iteration of SEN are going to live up to the hype?

I don't mean them finishing like 4-5th consistently while making to at least 1 international tourney, I'm talking about them actually winning shit. Their current form looks strong but the meta's going through a change and history with this org says that failure is inevitable in one way or another. I think the expectations for them rn are kinda unfair.

not gonna lie but I think this is Zekken's last opportunity to play with SEN if things so sour. The org loves changes and if they go through another year of failure then I could see them completely restarting their roster except for TenZ of course.

yeah he is, hes the most likely to stay outside of TenZ but depending on how bad SEN perform and how good the other duelists in the scene are going to get, SEN might drop him too.

I’ve got to talk to rob they plan is to lock down Zekken and Koy for 2024, Koy went to XSET but from my understanding SEN understands Zekken is next gen talent and star in the making just up to zekken if he wants to stay on a good org

They did well against DRX and TL and beat PRX twice. It doesn't seem too unfair that they have this hype around them. But sen fans know to expect the worst and hope for the best after the last 2 years.

I don't think they'll fail terribly, I think they will be competitive and even have a really good chance at qualifying to at least one major tournament. But people who have Sentinels as a top 1/2 GUARANTED 100%% in Americas are delusional. On paper all, NRG, LOUD, LEV and SEN could be top 1/2 "guaranteed" so it's gonna be very competitive between those teams. I'd say worst case scenario they finish top 4 in Americas

Id like to think so. I think they look really strong rn, I mean beating PRX , DRX and TL are pretty impressive since PRX is top #3 ITW and TL have a really strong core. I actually think this is the year SEN Actually live up to the hype they gained in the off season. I am trying to not be bias here.

we still need to see more of some maps like icebox, ascent, breeze, also they need to be really tested against stronger teams, we have to see how they will react against counter-strats from more structured teams, i see a world where they go up against loud and just get igl diffed by saadhak, or they go up against nrg or lev and just lose all the duels and all that vibes and stuff start falling apart

drx almost lost to full sense in the same tournament, they were not in form, and prx was clearly prioritizing testing comps and raising the chemistry with monyet and stuff, also i think nrg could just out-aim sentinels at certain point and start snowballing

bro jinggg played just some maps, they played with monyet a lot, and look at their comps, something on gekko, davai on cypher and some other random stuff, clearly they were trying new stuff more than trying winning the event, but prx still just one team, if we're talking about sentinels being real contenders they need to prove themselves against other top-teams

bro drx, g2 and liquid aren't the teams sentinels is going to worry about, congrats they beat a champions final team who didn't had any reason to win the tournament and was clearly just testing stuff, now they will have to play against loud, nrg, lev, and they all have a lot of vods from sentinels to analyze, while loud we don't even know if saadhak suddenly cooked a double sentinel comp or something
