After winning their tenth straight off-season match in dominating fashion, Sentinels Sentinels North America Rank #3 N4RRATE Marshall Massey bang Sean Bezerra Zellsis Jordan Montemurro zekken Zachary Patrone johnqt Mohamed Amine Ouarid have won their first international grand final since 2021 with a 3-0 win over Paper Rex Paper Rex Asia-Pacific Rank #1 mindfreak Aaron Leonhart Jinggg Wang Jing Jie f0rsakeN Jason Susanto d4v41 Khalish Rusyaidee something Ilya Petrov . In a rematch of the opening game of the tournament, the result was once again the same.

Amid numerous role swaps, and the insertion of Zellsis into the starting lineup for pANcada , Sentinels had put in a lot of work over the offseason. Many had raised questions about whether switching TenZ to the primary controller, and putting Zellsis into the starting lineups were the right decisions, but the changes seemed to have paid off.

After a slow start to the tournament, zekken came alive in the playoffs, leading the team in the grand finals with 53 kills. “I just want to be better than the player I was yesterday, and am putting in the hours every day to get better,” Zekken said after the match.

Sentinels received strong contributions from every player, with everyone recording at least 41 kills and a 1.10 rating or higher.

In the opening match against PRX, Sentinels won a close match late in overtime, but in the final, Sentinels showed their dominance across all three maps.

Once again picking Split as their map pick, Sentinels looked impressive for the third time this tournament. PRX started on Split with Jinggg in and mindfreak out of the starting lineup and looked promising after converting their eco round to tie the score at one. Sentinels used a strong defensive side to end the half up 9-3.

On the attack side, Paper Rex looked to make a big comeback, but Sentinels did not let up, finishing with a 13-7 victory. Zekken led the way for Sen with 17 kills. Sacy finished with 15 kills and 14 assists playing skye, an agent which he struggled on in 2023.

“After that first win I think everyone felt more confident, amd I think we did well and it was a good 3-0,” sacy said after the match.

d4v41 showed promise for PRX, making some spectacular plays on Split, but it was not enough to overcome the strong performance from Sen.

After losing in convincing fashion on Sunset in the first matchup with PRX, Sentinels looked to bounce back in the Grand Finals. Another roster change saw Monyet on the bench on Sunset as PRX went with their 2023 roster on map two.

Starting on defense, they finished the half tied at six. Showing a ton of improvement from the opening match, Sentinels fought hard to avoid being blown out once again on Sunset. On the attacking side, Sentinels distanced themselves from PRX and once again finished with a win, this time 13-10.

Sacy and Zellsis led the way on Sunset, with 24 and 17 kills respectively. D4v41 once again led the way for PRX with 22 kills.

On the third and final map of Breeze, Sentinels finished the half up 7-5. A strong second half from Sentinels led them to a 13-6 win and a Grand Finals win. Breeze was a vintage Tenz performance, as he showcased his great aim within the closing rounds. Playing kayo, Tenz finished with 20 kills and 14 assists to go along with a 1.58 rating

With this Grand Finals win, Sentinels head into 2024 with high expectations of qualifying for their first Masters since Valorant Champions 2021. Paper Rex will get ready for a season with monyet instead of jinggg and will attempt to regain their championship form.
