Realistic take on Russ

I actually think this would have been a great move ONLY if they didn't already have benkai. Russ can IGL now if I'm not wrong, so it could have been a great choice to bring an IGL from a different region just like Ayrin last year, but this time without counting as an import. That way you can also have a second import in practice

That being said if he's not gonna IGL I think there are much better individual choices in APAC, but he is decent, he's not as awful as people put him to be. And even less if he's actually at least gonna help with the calling

We only have his LAN gameplay from fucking 1.5 years ago to look at and have genuine material to judge on

players like jakee etc came from fucking collegiate or t3 and proved themselves

Benkai and blaze are not IGLing so its russ but what makes no sense is why they have 3 IGLs, last team had a lot in terms of firepower and this team lacks firepower

I think this GE team is much more balanced than last year, with solid IGL and Benkai as a second caller.

Russ plays initiators
LF on duelist
Benkai smoke/flex
Blazeking Sentinel/Viper
IMO it depends upon the last player, this team might just be good

"importing" a non-import igl support player is pretty solid.
Yeah his firepower is not the highest...
Ge tried to do too much last year with all the role swaps, russ is an already made support player.

It does allow GE to import another player which could really elevate the team.

I think if GE manages to create a strong system which helps one of their Indian players to become VCT level then it is a success imo.

If ge can get Vici (probably impossible) to finish off the roster.. it would have alot more promise.
