any practicers here?
lets see... to my knowledge:
mewing doesn't cause any health problems if done correctly,
you have the freedom to change your own body, and its natural, it doesnt really make a big difference unlike other stuff.
it's trying to achieve a beauty standard that's popularised by dumb mfs
too bad π€·ββοΈ , people still do it.
i don't know why you're so pressed over something that is so insignificant, boggles the mind tbh.
its basically the same as working out, or bodybuilding, trying to achieve a certain bodyfat, (while these are healthy, they can be excessive)
You realise mewing is meant for people who didn't develop the muscles around their jaw correctly right? This concerns basic chewing and swallowing. I had a tongue tie growing up so never had good posture, after getting it cut and some mewing I've never found it easier to swallow properly and just live a normal life - and I've also started looking a lot healthier (thus more attractive etc.) It's also helped a lot with my breathing, you haven't done actual research around mewing and it tells - looks like it's whatever you've seen off social media. This really isn't that much different from how a lot people go to the gym to workout because they want to look better.
cool, thanks for the insight. π
but at the same time, you're gonna have to call all women who struggle with body dysmorphia, incels; because it falls under the same category. stay consistent. and those same women get lip fillers, cheek fillers, BBL's, silicone enhancements, all kinds of unnecessary surgery, but something that is completely natural, good for your breathing, recommended by health professionals is too much for you?
these labels will just wear you down if you keep thinking like that tbh.

femcels are thing dumbass. Im not criticizing you for body dysphoria to be clear. This specific set of insecurities is one sold to vulnerable groups of men by grifters who prey on your loneliness.

mewing like movements can sometime be recommended by dentists or orthodontists but that is part of a structured treatment plan (often for sleep apnea btw) and can indeed have downsides such as jaw misalignment tooth misalignment TMJ pain and chipped teeth.

again context is a thing that exists nt tho.
