No lol, EG went from bottom of Americas standings, arguably the worst team in franchises to the best team in the world currently thank to Potter. Mini had the best team ever assembled on paper, any other T1 coach should have been able to get at least 2 trophies with FNC

They got Demon1, that didn't make them a theoretical superteam overnight, did it? And while yes, Potter was their coach for a long time, they were playing with Apoth and Reformed. I don't see how a couple of team changes takes anything away from what Potter did THIS YEAR.

Well I'm sorry I made it come out like that, and I'm sure mini did a great job with Fnatic, all I'm saying is, EG suddenly, with the addition of Demon1, went from a bottom 25 team in the world to Top 1 in a matter of 5 months. Now why that didn't happen before I don't know, but someone behind the scenes managed to get that team to where it is today

Best Controller must be mako, best igl would be boaster AND boostio for me and i must say, Leo is Lock In MVP and Demon1 as Champions MVP just doesnt feel right

Looooool chronicle cannot be best flex of 2023, hes cost Fnc every game they’ve lost by underperforming + his initiator utility is nowhere near as good as Ethan’s

Also mini is a fucking fraud, potter built a team from the ground up and invested in the same players to get a trophy, mini had to get a superteam to not bomb out of more tournaments.

Also s0m deserves best controller, even when NRG was down his individual performance was easily the best of any controller this year, jaws best moments were on raze rather than controller

Mini kept 3 of the best players in the world and bought 2 more of the best players in the world. And coasted through matches on firepower alone with no strat innovation

Potter kept 5 tier 2 prospects and bought 2 solid tier 1 players and 3 unproven tier 3 talent and managed to make the best team in the world with only one of the two tier 1 players she bought while molding the rest of them into gods and making some of the most innovative strategies and reshaping a whole map it’s not even close

He really hasn’t done much in the way of innovation and ideas, if you look at other top teams they’ve all done something to restructure or reshape the game (Loud with harbor viper, Optic with Chamber meta and Neon comps, EG completely reshaping fracture with sova, even old fnatic bringing double controller and icebox meta in 2021), fnatic just play regular valorant with little to no misplays and boaster is a great igl but mini really hasn’t done a whole lot

Ok we all agree that jawgemo isn't best controller of the year but who else can contend for that spot out of thr top 8 teams? I doubt boaster or tuyz are at that level yet. Maybe mindfreak since he started to play better and performed well at champions? But that was only towards the end of the year. I wouldn't give it to the Chinese controllers at this stage, and mako underperformed at tokyo but got back to form later on. Some people are suggesting som an di would agree, hes been good even if his team has not. So really, for the full time controller role, it's between mako, mindfreak and som.
